Hi,

This is a driving simulation I've completed using ODE physics. You get to choose between Five different Vehicles, and Five different Levels.

There is no music because I thought it wasn't necessary. There is no objective. This is merely a fun physics simulation.

To control your vehicle: Use your arrow keys. If you get flipped, then press the enter key to rotate your vehicle. Try to stay on top of the boxes if you can.

I hope you enjoy!

I didn't say that you have done that, but it's not that long since i release a ODE Physic playground(look at the link above so see it).

Hi,

No, I did not take your idea. Your idea seems to be an editor where a user gets to create boxes and other objects then plays with them in a world. My game is merely a vehicle demonstration, where a user gets to drive around in a landscape filled with other objects.

The name of our two games is the same, however. I just didn't want to call my game "Driving Simulation" because it is not a very good driving simulation. I thought that "Physics Playground" was more appropiate because the only great thing about this game is the physics.

I'm sure that your program, when released, would receive far more interest than this one.

good luck

Hi again, here is the complete source code for everyone to use as they please.

The code includes many functions that allow you to control an ODE object as though it were a vehicle. Also, there are several other useful functions for camera controls and sprite buttons that you might find useful for your video games.

I apologise if it might seem like spaghetti code at first, because of all the gosub commands, but that's just the way dbPro works.

Enjoy!

...from the guy that I spoke to about SmartParticles, sent code samples to, and then lo and behold creates something very similar!
