Cool. Maybe WIP would have been better for this post.

Also, I'd post an in game shot, something quick and dirty. That's probably the best way to generate interest.

Here's some signs that this is a bad posting:

1) The user joined the forums on Nov. 6th, 2005. (that's 16 days ago)

2) The use of the word "studios" in the wip posting title.

The gun models are really nice, and it'll be cool to see more screens of the models and stuff since you really don't have any in game shots yet.

If something doesn't show up soon, I'd guess this thread has a 70-80% chance of getting locked.

Stop being so negative, I think gamesmad and his project has sex appeal. Except, of course, that he's the second person to steal Drew (Cameorn)'s avatar

@that dude

Pleased you like the gun, good luck with your game.

@torrey

The time I registered has nothing to do with anything, and neither does the name of our team. Also, I see no reason why our post should be locked, comeon be a little more friendly

@hawkeye

Im pleased you, erm, think our project has se... Ohh forget it...

@everyone

Heres a screenie of a new gun.

You guys might even get a map preview and maybe even *insert drum roll here* a demo

am i the only one who sences a slight inconsitency with the xm8? not to mention how dead your forums look, and you said that your in the middle of this project. so unless you post evidence to the contrary id say this project is bs, if you (modeled) all 3 of those guns then this project is totally bs...

even though what i say about 99% of these "projects" maybe mean and what not the fact is ive seen it a hundred times before,

although this one doesnt appear to be a team request youd expect a project thats 1/2 done to have more than 3 untextured guns and 3 random images that look like they were made in paint.

@Xenocythe

The game will be programmed in DBPro, my models are with GameSpace, jons models are with max.

@dark coder

The XM8 was made by a different modeller to the other two, and our forums are dead because most of our posts are on the hidden Dev Team board. I cant really think of a way to prove that we made those models, just believe us I also clearly stated at the top that we have more models and and media than we are showing here.

We are currently working on the P90, Ill get that posted up in a bit

Cheers, pleased you like them

Will

EDIT:

Heres about half of a map, gives you an idea of the scale that we are going for. The three little boxes on the left are garages. Some maps will be smaller than this, to allow for less people to play. Also, we now have a texture artist, so you will be seeing some better looking models soon

Looks good so far but I really hope
Quote: "our programmer is just beginning to get things into DBPro."
isn't 100% accurate.

What are your plans for the final game, you say it's a MMOFPS but will it be all out blasting like Unreal Tournament or less frantic and more realistic like Americas Army?

We are going for more realism like AA, we are not making it too futuristic, so things will still feel "real". Sorry Im getting modellers block with the P90... I just cant get the top section looking right Ill post it when its done

Pleased you like it havok, Im not to sure about that first model, I think I aimed a bit too low res As many people as want to, based on the number of servers. Each map/server will be capable of holding around 50 players. We will have one server up ourselves to make sure you can always play 4 days guys

by small demo do you mean multiplayer demo or just camera movement to showcase your models?

It will be camera movement, and body positions like crouching and prone. That is what is *promised* but if our programmer can do more in time, then there will be more

Yep, it is hard to tell, but we will make our textures from models, but the poly count will be low. Keeping gameplay smooth is the key Legend has it that we may have something before friday, but thats no promise.

Did you make t hese models?

I hav some questions. On the map, what will fill the empty black areas, are there going to be vehicles in the game, what kind of game types will there be, and are there teams? That is it for now.

Thanx

Yes, all these models are made by our team. You wont be able to see the black areas in the game, the buildings will block the view... Gametypes will start with Deathmatch and move on from there, the teams are UNAF and DFOA. As for vehicles, we dont know yet, but its a possibilty.

Well, heres an update for you guys, we will now be including a Single Player mode aswell. With a heart wrenching storyline that will tear you to pieces, leaving you blaming yourself for the outcome for days...

Heres the plan for demos etc:
1. The movement and position demo (on friday or saturday)
2. The SP demo, we will include around half of the plot
3. The MP demo, with a couple of maps
4. The full version, including the full Single Player storyline, all the Multiplayer maps, and the Map Editor. We will probably be selling it, but not sure how much for yet. Discount for TGC forum members of course

I love that second weapon pic! The m4 or m16 whichever it is... Well, if you decide to go with the level of detail on the second gun for your game then re-model the m4, no offense MMOFPS, that would be fun... Best of luck to you.

Pleased you like it, I got the shoutbox from a seperate site, and coded it in with <iframe> tags in the forum description Join if you like!

@Agent Dink
We probably will NOT be going for the level of detail on the second gun, we want to keep the FPS good. The M4 will be remodelled. The level of detail will be like the 3rd gun (FNP9).

The demo may be finished tonight, depends if the programmer is online or not. If not tonight, then tommorow for sure.

EDIT: Just so you guys know, the 3rd gun picture (above) now has a texture, check it out. Ignore the snow, I rendered it with TrueSpace demo instead of GameSpace full version and couldnt be bothered to redo it all in GameSpace. Ill do a better one tommorow.

ergh, i aint posted on this forums for ages

the demo may be a lil delayed, sorry for the inconvience... it might not be delayed though, dunno... we'll see...
reasons why it might be delayed:
1) yesterday "something" happened between me and my gf, so we had to go hospital in long que for morning after pill :p
2) hard to get on internet cause my mum is hogging it like a ######
3) i have depression, paranosia, insomnia, eating disorder, schizotypal disorder, borderline, obsessive compulsive, self-hate... blah blah blah.... cause loads of BAD BAD stuff has happened recently which leads to why i havent posted on these forums for ages....

If you do not accept the reasons why the demo may be delayed... tough, hahaha jokes, sorry everyone, but every bit of free time i have.. im trying.... blah, laterz xx
