Hey all,

Sorry if this has laready been posted, but I just downloaded the free version og NGC, and i dont know how to really use it. I have tried studying the example file that came with it, but when compiled it has an error that i can't fix. If someone could just give me some pointers i would be greatfull. Thanks.

if you tell us the error we might be able to understand the problem more, is it a compile error or does the created app crash?

well, it says "Command out of place at line 433", and then goes to the included "NGCollision.dba" but its only a blank page. I read in other forums that the version i am using, 2.0, has some problems in the codeing and how to fix them, such as change "return" commands to "endfunction", and move some remarks. But i have changed and moved everything mentioned and it still has the error. I have no idea what to do.

Heh I jus thad this problem. For some reason when I start a new NG project it keeps erasing the include file! Make sure to keep a backup file fo the include because this happens often. The most solid way to get an error free project Ive found it to load the 3rd person example.
Delete the code and then start your own code there. This usually starts a good solid program that will stop eating the include file.
If the include file is empty then its been erased and has to be put back! Also anyproject you make in a different folder be sure to include the dll. Took me 2 hours last night to get my project working with out eating the file. Once you get it stable its fine though. Im not sure why its so hard maby one of the NG creators could address this or give an explanation.
Its very hard to get a project started even the most basic of ones. It always eats the include file at first!

Torq:

I've never tried anything like that when using ngc. I find it really easy to start up a project were you use ngc. Start a new project, include the ngc include file and done! You're now ready to use ngc in the project.

Nuclear Glory Collision: Buggy. Rotated objects don't collide correctly when they have per-poly collision and if you make the elipsoid collision object run along a seam between 2 objects, it will make the screen flicker for a few seconds before letting you go between two objects that don't even have a gap!

Though ngc doesn't support rotating objects properly (in v2.03 as it is the best version), you can modify the include file to make it work with objects rotated before entered into the collision system.
