Hi all

As you may know I am a music producer for 9thlife Records. I have put together some mp3 tracks specifically with the intention of use in video games. They aren't the best of my work (else I'd be charging you for them ) But they are certainly professional enough to use in games

I have also decided to make a small low poly model packs as a gift to the community I'm not the best modeller or texturer in the world, but I think they are pretty cool

I'll be adding different packs here as time goes by so keep an eye on this thread

Music Pack One
The first music pack is a dance music pack, with six trance, electro, uk garage, detroit house and drum and Bass style tracks.
(Clicking on these will play a low bitrate preview)
* Call the Cops (maybe for a street racing style game?)
http://www.quikly.com/mediabank/lowbitrate/copslow.mp3
* Elektrocyde (maybe for a beat em up game?)
http://www.quikly.com/mediabank/lowbitrate/eleklow.mp3
* Watchet 2 Detroit (maybe for a futuristic FPS?)
http://www.quikly.com/mediabank/lowbitrate/w2dlow.mp3
* For D&B Next (maybe for a deathmatch FPS?)
http://www.quikly.com/mediabank/lowbitrate/fdblow.mp3
* One Two Three Four (maybe for a futuristic racing game?)
http://www.quikly.com/mediabank/lowbitrate/ottflow.mp3
* Teh UK Garage (maybe for a Urban 3rd Person game?)
http://www.quikly.com/mediabank/lowbitrate/tukglow.mp3

Model Pack One
The First Model Pack is 3 low poly modern weapons, including a machine gun, pistol and pump action shotgun. Heres a screenshot:

To load the models in dbclassic or pro, use the following code:

Q What if I want to use it in a commercial Project?
A Then you need to purchase Quikly 3d Games Studio Pro
Q Can you make smaller music loops to use in game?
A These will be availble to Quikly 3d Games Studio Pro users
Q What did you make the music in?
A Cubase SX, Using a mix of my own samples and royalty free ones taken from packs by ebay, magix and modern beats.
Q What did you make the models in?
A Quikly Model Pro of course

Anyway hope you all like them and find them useful, cheers, Sam

DarkBasic MAD - thanks

"Can i please use them for a commercial project but give you credit"
You get a commercial license for all Quikly media, including these and many more when you buy Quikly Studio Pro (currently 19.99 poounds in EA) FREE users can only use them for non commercial.

"Do you know of any free apps that create music like them you made"
None as good as Cubase SX. But seriously, if you have the skill you can make music as good as this in soundrecorder (free with windows) if you now how to use it properly and have the patience...

Hawkeye - wow thanks man Yeah I tried to make as many different "dance" styles as I could - its not really my area of expertese though, I mostly make hiphop and rock styles

@DarkBasic MAD - For a good music app you could try the demo version of FLStudio, yes it is the demo, however there's no time limit on it, the only limitation being that you can't save song as a .flp file (Fruity Loops' native file format) Thus forcing you to write you song in one long sitting session but if your not willing to pay for a good sequencer like cubebase, you probably won't be turning out amazing tracks anyways (not to say that someone can't, but that its unlikely) other than the saving limitation there's not realy any limits that I know of, you can render mp3's to as high a quality and bitrate as you want.

Hope that helped, And nice job on everything kangaroo!

It's like... grindcore... only worse

drums from hell - check
unrecconizeable guitar riffs - no
ungodly high tempo - no

...as a general rule, you shouldn't send your first 5/6 songs out. Get feedback from people after that, but don't expect much until you get well past the 20 mark.

Just from one composer to another,

Yeah theres 1 track featuring Carl Cox, one JXL, some Mark Spoon (Spooney from the Dream Team) coming soon as well, along with some tracks with samples provided by the producers of Snoop Dogg, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Destiny's Child, Britney Spears and more. And yes I have the rights to remix and use all the samples royalty free (I own a record label and studio and have many hundreds of sample cds etc including some produced by big names

There are some free tracks for everyone, and some free tracks only for EA/FULL users, all royalty-free for use in games and tech demos
