Im not sure if this was completely appropriate material because someone with strong feelings towards world war II or nazism would be offended. Now i dont mean to stir up anything but please view this for its artistic value. Its supposed to show that with time even the worst of nightmares will pass from our world. This image in no way was meant to offend anyone but i understand that some people might. but i gave everyone a fair warning. cause i feel this content is completly appropriate. if the mods feel other wise ill let them do whatever.

here is my image.

well i think that people who get offended are stupid, and have to say that the image/render is pretty bad

what is it? some ladybug parasols with hooks on the end floating down with a decapitated snake bearing a swastica?

Halowed are the ori.

Interesting. Just a suggestion. Off hand without an explanation, this could be mistaken as pro-nazi, lifting up the flag etc. What I would suggest refining and adding:

1. Make the umbrellas a different color. This puts a contrast between them and clearly seperates them. A color choice would be one that matches with the sky and ground.

2. Make the handles thicker/larger than the flagpole. This adds strentgh to the umbrellas and the idea behind the image. You could also make the flag droop down. Tattered or weathered to add the sense of defeat and time. Don't put half mast as that is mourning and respectful.

3. Add some other iconic depictions of the nightmare or other nightmares on the other umbrellas. This strengthens and makes the message clearer.

These should also help neutralize the upwards tile angle, which is generally used for majestic, emphasis and positive purposes. In your image I understand the emphasis is to release, but I feel is a little lost but the above suggestions could help.

it means that Ladybugs will one day, lead the way to Aushwitz, flying the swastika on bent flag poles on the day of blue skys and over green, grassy, hills. Hail Ladybugs!

The meaning of the image is good, how it was executed I'm wary with, and the fact I've seen better work come out of you,

If you are going for the time wins over the worst nightmares, I would use imagery of time, such as clocks etc, then maybe use the Grim Reaper as a tool, not only for the imagery of time, but to emphasise the nightmare, also draw attention that time is a nightmare most fear giving the image a double meaning, and then you can bring the whole Nazi thing in as well, and well, to show time progresses, the poppy would be a fitting thing to add.

Hopefully I didn't take over too much, buts thats the sort of thing I would do to get that idea across artistically, however the Grim Reaper is a pain to model, as use an image if you must, if you adopt that idea

well im sorry for the edgy subject matter. i was expermenting artistically. I tried using more symbolism and to have an image with meaning and substance. like with a message or something to take from it. Im sure if it was a soviet flag no one wouldnt be offended which is weird of people but its beyond my control. Maybe i havent grown enough as an artist to use such symbols and meaning. I will continue experimenting this way until I get it the way i want it to be. Sorry for all this and the lack of quality but it was all an experiment and appearantly a big flop.

EDIT: and also on a side note. I find this image to be a personal acheivement. maybe its not the most right out quality. but it had a message in it. and it taught me alot about myself and others. and thats all that really matters. thanks for all your honest opinions it really helps.

EDIT Again: also you cant make a winner all the time i guess(a winner as in a image someone actually likes. you got to experience losing sometimes)

I would agree theres personal achievement, even if its not so visable, and well, I know what artistic experimenting is like, I was under the impression that this was a final piece of work, oh well, well hopefully you can get your idea down the way you want it
