hmm I can't put my finger on the best 3D model I've made, however I am in development of a scene I hope to be my best, so I'll post that one when its done or has enough done to showcase,

Judging from the title you are attempting to pick the best modeller, I suggest that you don't, its not fair to say who you think is the best

For now I'll post this one (Untextured Aeris model);

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y173/seppuku05/Alphamapfinished.jpg
This one below was taken during the process of Alpha mapping, hence the bald spot

Don't ask, I just have to put my friends duck in my sig

Lol, thanks, but those human models you made are at least 5x better than any I have made. You just didn't render em pretty.

Quoth that stuff is really cool looking. I like the simplicity but cleanliness/beauty of it all. Its real awesome. probably something I would set as my desktop background. The chav's another story.

Being an artistic-challenged coder, I could never be "the" modeler, but just so you can all feel a lot better about your own creations, here's a logo I created for my homepage

Also attached is my very first attempt at modelling a fairly low poly organic shape (a 500 triangle guy).

Both things were modeled in Blender (no post-processing whatsoever on the logo) and are possibly my only creations beyond chrome balls on checker floors.

I have vague plans for World Domination

Wow lol that man looks great for a first attempt. Artistic challenged you say?? That model would look great with a good texture.

I'm guessing "Legend of Zelda" either that or he knows my friend Lauren.

Well I don't want to comment on the piccy twice but what the heck, nice scene, texture is a bit overscaled for my liking, but meh

For some of us our best model is an unfinished model, I would post my Tsuki model, but I don't want to show her again, the texture is horrible lol

Alright I was going to save this until I had tweeked it a bit, I still dont like how the one side looks a bit flat... The texture could use some work I've gotta admit, but Ive been focussing purely on the model.

Well, without further adue...adew..uh...without further waiting here it is (more than 4 hours of work).

I call it, the six...a...gon... Six-A-Gon yeah thats it.

I dont think its fair to the competition that I enter this though, I am a bit advanced at this hole modeling thing...

For all you newcommers to the 3D scene, hang in there, one day you'll be as 1337 as me.

Ruccus way to make us all feel unworthy! Some day I will be just like you... Is there any possible way you could achieve that with the box modelling method? Seems kinda complex but once you look at it you can kinda see where maybe it coulda been...naw, no way it had to be NURBS

No im pretty sure that was done poly by poly. Could i get any refs you are using ruccus? I'd like to try making one of those.

@Snipa, those are some really nice textures/models, good work!

@Fik, i really like that model, it has tons of detail. Amazing job.

I'm sorry Ruccus, we are ignorant in the eyes of talent which is why we sometimes find it hard to applaud 'modern art' I can never see the artistic values of such modern artists, but then I am old fashioned when it comes to art
