Hi guys I have decided to work on a melee weapons pack. The pack will contain around 20 weapons when its finished and it will be free for commercial and non commercial use. I may have some problems in getting the model to show up in game but I should get there eventually. Please post suggestions and ideas, like what weapons I could make and if they should look a certain style. Here is a render of a combat knife...

Ok these are the models that I plan to make...


= model is made and is FPSC ready
= model is made but is not FPsc ready
= model is going to be made or is being worked on at present




combat knife
crowbar
wrench
spade
machete

so those are the ones that are being worked on but I need some ideas.

Thanks for the positive comments. They provide alot of encouragement. By the way do you want me to make hands for the models, I mean I could if you wanted me to but they wont be very good quality and it would look a bit strange seeing the FPSC guns with no hands floating in mid air while the melee weapons have got hands. What do you think...

Theres a Yes and a no most hands with melees look junky and cause the skin tone race and sex so i say if you want then go ahead!

Well its not really a melee script as such. What you need to do is open the gunspec folder and change some things around. Like set brass, smoke, muzzle flash and ammo to 0 and make a new variable, range = 15 and that is how you make a melee weapon.

Right guys I really need help. I tried importing the model to be Fpsc ready but I could not get it to show up in Fpsc. Can someone make this model Fpsc ready or give me some tips on how to get the stupid thing to show up. Heres the crowbar...

Upload a gunspec from any gun, And I'll show you the lines for the sounds, and how they work. I'm just to lazy to go find it...

Ok, just put the sound file name for each sound number, leave it blank if there's none. IE:



The fireloop setting controlls the postion in bytes in the fire sound where it's looped from/to. Just mess around with this one.

AS for this:



Basicly, set "soundframes =" to the total number of times your weapon plays a sound. Then, set the sframe# equal to:

1.) the frame at which the sound is played,
2.) ","
3.) the sound number that is played

So, let's say you want to

play the fire sound in the middle of the fire animation
play the cock sound at the start of the reload anim
play the cock sound when you putaway the gun

the correct soundframe stuff for that would be:



3 = cock
4 = fire

Thanks Gamz, the pack its self won't take very long to finish, but getting them into FPSC is going to be the hard part.
