I have DBP 5.9 with the Enhancements Pack installed.

I compiled FPSC-Game.exe and successfully ran a single-player game after making the required changes to fpsc-050.ini (changed 625 to 629) and fpsc-050.txt (added lines 626=A, 627=A, 628=A and 629=A).

Then I tried running an arena game, which crashed after it showed the first room for about a second. I did make the appropriate changes to fpsc-050.ini and fpsc-050.txt as I did with the single-player game.

The modifications to fpsc-050.ini and fpsc-050.txt fix the Error 118, Line 2587 problem, but this is in a different spot (Error 118, Line 24070).

Remember, my problem is with multi-player only. My executable works perfectly and without a hitch for single-player games.

My main question is: Has anyone been able to get their own compiled version of FPSC-Game.exe to work with multi-player games? I've seen this asked in the search, but I didn't see any "yes" answers.

Then my next question is -- how do I fix it?

Thanks!

I think the normal FPSC-Game is more updated then the source code.

(or Lee's code is WAY to messy)

@BULLSHOCK 2:
I'm doubtful that a 6.1 compiled version will work, even for a single-player game. Yeah, I'll post it in the bug box.

@Master Mind:
Yeah, I think something's different somewhere.

Thanks Guys!

I got Multi-Player to work with the compiled FPSC-Game.exe. I expanded fpsc-050.txt by adding more entries (630-644) and changed fpsc-050.ini to 644. These files are used to create an array of strings used in the program. The program was blowing up when it tried to access entry 641, but I found references to the array as high as 644, so I made that the maximum.

There are 2 literals you will want to add to fpsc-050.txt for entries 636 and 641:

636=Waiting To Join...
641=AND WHO DO YOU WANT TO BE?

There are probably others, but these are the ones I stumbled on.

EDIT: Better yet -- copy and paste the text in the following code block to the end of the original fpsc-050.txt file:
