I made this project 3 months ago in a half week. It is a simple play where you must burst of the balloons, but with special modes. The red balloons give a little point and life, the blue ones remove some. The black balloons remove much life, you miss the balloons and you make more damages on the other tank. the balloons yellow make the opposite effect.

Afflicted for my bad explanations: test it!

to control the player at the left, use mouse. For the player at the right use movekeys and return key.

YOU MUST RENAME THE FILE BurstIt.zip1----> BurstIt.zip (not zip1)

Brilliant game, my highscore is 10,000 here's a better instruction guide

Controls
Player 1
Mouse up and down - Move gun left and right
Mouse left and right - Move tank left and right
Mouse click - Shoot (hold to increase the power of the shot)

Player 2
Up and down arowkeys - Move gun left and right
Left and Right Arrowkeys - Move tank left and right
Enter key - Shoot (hold to increase the power of the shot)

Special balloons
Gold - Increases life and seems to upgrade the weapon
Black - decreases life and seems to downgrade the weapon

Try and beat my high score

i got 13000 then i quit to post about it

yeh, that is an amazing game. i love those particle trails on the shots, they are incredible. and the game is great fun too, especially the background sounds.
the evil laugh is briliant.

did you do the particle effects using the dbp particle system? as i have never been able to get that to work

Burst it is pretty good. It need some attention though. The menu does not select properly, and the balloons get stuck at the side of the screen. There needs to be a 1 player mode, with more powerups, and some new game ideas, but this game has the potential to be one of the best DB Pro games ever.

you also need a pause button, i thought escape was pause and it went to the main menu , still a brilliant game though

Fantastic! There´s some really nice particles you´ve got there!

it can sometimes flip through the options really quickly and sometimes you might miss the one you want. if you just slow down the speed at which it flips through (just stick in a wait 100) then it will make it easier

I think the balloons should either wrap around to the other side of the screen, or just blow away.

The menu select is too fast, as said. It will get faster on faster computers.

New ideas are going to take time. How about things dropping out of the balloons, and you have to catch them. Maybe stars or something.
