Hey everybody,
Since Riker 9 was vaporware, and since we have heard no news of the date for version 2 to come out, I decided that I would update fpsc myself . I recently bought darkbasic pro from ebay, and the coding doesn't look too hard. Anyway, please post the features that you guys would like to see in the upgrade, and I'll see which ones I can do.

DBP might be a bit of a steeper learning curve compared to FPSC but it's great fun and hugely rewarding once you get started. Good luck.

DBP is one thing itself to learn, but the FPSC source code is like learning DBP all over again. It's very complex and long and not an easy undertaking.

no no no, I already have the expansion pack and I have been learning dark basic pro for over 3 months. Thats what I meant by recently. By looking at the source code, much of it is all jumbled up and this makes it a little hard to understand.

@Essal- Umm its been over a year now, and no news

@Knight of Hell- Think Before you speak and the last thing you want to do is to criticize me.

Knight Of Hell is right.

This was from the beginning just a waste of space,
you only said this:

And if you do update FPSC then you shouldnt just start a thread right away, you should wait to you jave started and maybe have some examples of what you have done.

Sometimes we get a little excited with a new idea and jump the gun. No big deal, though.

I hope you do continue to learn and make a contribution down the road.

Good luck.

Gamemaker Alex,
I really don't understand why you posted this thread but I am locking it.
I appreciate your enthusiasm.Post about this again when you are done with it.
I won't debate Riker 9 with you and the quickest way to get your post locked is to start out with anything about Riker 9.
Good luck with your project.
