I'm making a 2D multiplayer game at the moment, not a huge amount of data needs to be sent between players, just a few strings and numbers, not as much as an fps or something.

I have heard that the standard DBpro multiplayer stuff is a bit sloppy, but I was wondering for something as simple as this, is it likely to do the trick? Really I just don't want to over complicate things, and stick to the most simple possible multiplayer command set.

Anyone have any advice?

I would say that Tempest is really easy to use for online multiplayer. It's a Multiplayer DLL for DarkBasic Professional, and there is a free version which you can find here:

Hope it helps
