well, i finished it, and im pretty darn pleased, looks pretty cool and sharp, and there was eventually no need for a large reference pic, due to its simplicity in basic metal brushing (cylinders) it was a doddle, and the final texture was only combined from a cloud render with noise, and a simple grime overlay

here it is:

and with hands (still without the variations, these will just be default, more to come eventually)

im quite proud, that i didnt need any photo help, only a very small pic to see the basic details

hope ya like, comments and critiscm gladly welcome (nothing on the hands, they are only in a test position, so if they look loose, that will be fixed during animation)

thanks, lol yeh that would be cool, i plan to do something like that one day, with alot of custom media, its the main reason people think FPSC is bad because of the wide use of stock, i would love to see a completely new approach!

Quote: "Cool!Nice,Jon!"

cheers buddy!

Quote: "DUuuddddeeee jon when is this comming out?"

lol, i think ive heard that enough times that i may have to write up a FAQ! should propably be about a week or under if things go well

Quote: "Awesome work again! How many waepons will be in Corepak 2? And is there any handguns?"

thanks, quite a lot of weapons, i'll have to count soon, yep there is a pistol, desert eagle, back in the Famas F1 Thread, i'll probably create one more, like a berreta or glock

Quote: "good work. its really nice good texture.
cheers,

MTI "

thanks, but whats with the pic you posted? nice bridge by the way

youve given me an idea, not sure i'll go through with it though

thanks! yeh weapons and characters, and entities, and some segments

melee weapons, there are a few made already, a sword and a K-Bar Knife, i will probably take a half-life approach and make something like a crowbar, and other 'industrial' weapons

lol, thanks!

lol, thanks, perhaps a lil' bit of freelancing would be great if the opportunity rised! though i doubt my texturing styles would fit in with their's

Wow, great job again with this one, Jon! I love the look of it, the way you textured it is the way I usually do it with a bit of gaussian blur and saturation balance, so I guess I am doing it right then. BTW, in Higgins Fantasy Pack thread, did you see what I posted for you on the last page? I think it may help you.

does anyone know where i can find a decent side image of a M82 sniper rifle? i found a nifty image of a police sniper rifle, which would equally look great in game, but would a "police rifle" fit in with the rest of these guns?

seem this is pretty far down, so im gonna post a little render to bump it up (and for a decent reason)

after some thought, i figured the M82 is good, yet a very blocky gun, and have chosen to go ahead with making a FN SPR rifle, its looking great so far, and i have great reference, so its for the best

heres the model, untextured...

no crit yet, its unfinished remember, though if theres something you really want to point out go ahead

adobe photoshop 7, for all my 2d needs

animations are in adobe ImageReady, ive self trained in photoshop for a long time now, and ever since my noobish days ive been making banners, so its become rather easy to me now especially tech/mech and grunge art

wonderful. your more than just a good modeller jon. you work is really amazing. is there any kind of list with the models included in your pack so far ?

and of course...would you model a sledgehammer ? with hands and animation and stuff ^^ okay okay...seems like no one wants this...except me. i think a sledgehammer is more interesting than a crowbar as a meelee

yeah...thats the ticket !

higgins , no offense. but your sledgehammer looks not very realistic.
and the animations...well...dont get me wrong, youve done good work, but its truely impossible to mix jons models with yours.
peace

thanks, no list yet, i will hopefully write one up soon, i know that should have been done before, and i actually regret not doing it now, but i kind of went with my instincts on what weapons would be cool and its come out nicely, just got to eventually wrap it up

sledgehammer is a very likely option, though im trying my hardest to not guarentee all requests, otherwise this pack will never be completed on a schedule! lol, but it is an easy weapon, so yeh its likely

even though you have given your reason, and i am nobody to change peoples opinions, but i think by realistic, you mean modern day industrious style sledehammer? rather than a war-hammer?

thanks,

yeh sure, you will be able to use the contents of the pack, for ANY purpose, do anything you wish with them, besides re-distribution

pretty much the same license as volume 1, use as you must, commercial and non-commercial

Hey Jon can you make this gun?
(Photo attached)
The gun fires at the same rate as and m-16 its as strong, its also a little more tough, but It's less accurate and heavier,
And every bullet cartridge has 35 bullets in it,
Oh! If you want more photos and info just tell me.

i dont mind the Galil, its a nice addition, and is quite popular in a few games, not VERY well known, and it is a pain in the arse in CS:Source

might have to do it, cant guarentee it though, im thinking about wrapping up the guns soon and and finishing the melee, after a few more planned

the AK-47 is the ultimate competitor against the m16, its always been its opposite in many games, but i appreciate your request, and i was actually considering this gun a long time ago, so i may make it
