I just bought DS, and it doesn't even run! The error message is not like the kind you get with DB Pro errors, it is a "send error report" dialogue. It wants me to send the erorr to Microsoft!

What could possibly be doing this to my version of DS? I defnately have the latest DirectX!

Have you installed the DarkShader Runtime?

Can you run the "Preview.exe" file on its own and see if any error message is displayed.

where is the priview .exe? Is it in the install directory? Whoops sorry!

This is my other account as I ordered DS with a different e-mail address! I am just re-downloading all of the dark shader files!

me again! The Preview.exe file ust runs in the background and then crashes, but it is not an error report thing, with no options to send to Microsoft

You can find it here. Don't install upgrade 6.5, as it seems it has a problem with DS.

Yes, normally the preview is run in the background, in which case if it crashes it's silent, or you get the Microsoft error. If you run Preview.exe on its own (by double clicking on it) it is more likely to produce an error message saying why it crashed.

Yeah...
The only change that was supposedly in 6.5 versus 6.4 was adding support for my Enhanced Animations plugin

There is a new version of upgrade 6.5 that will solve these problems with Dark Shader. I haven't changed the contents of the upgrade page but the file is new - http://darkbasicpro.thegamecreators.com/?f=upgrade_6_5.
