Compleat newby here. My brother gave me "Dark Basic 3D Games Creator" and "Dark Basic Professional" for Christmas. Is "Dark Basic 3D Games Creator" an add-on to DB Pro, or is it clasic DB?

Never heard of it myself. Are you sure it's not the "3D Game Maker"?

3d Game Creator is DB Classic, and DarkBasic Pro is a different (and better) version of DarkBasic.

your all wrong the dark basic 3d game creator is the 3d game maker and im guessing that TCat87 lives in the U.S or he bought it off an American site? Check the game creators web site for the 3d game maker

And Dark basic pro is TGC's leading product for games development its pretty damn good.

Hope this helps

@Big Man - Perhaps your right but I know that in some places in Europe its called Dark Basic 3D Games Creator.

@TCat87 - If you open up the Dark Basic 3D Games Creator and get a screen asking you for a beginner or advanced selection, then you have The 3D Gamemaker. If you open it up and get a black screen with a GUI at the top then you have Darkbasic Classic. If you have that then it's best to use DBP but use DBC's media.

In Europe (not all of Europe, but some countries), DBC is called 3D Games Creator. So Math89 is right.

Basically, TCat, you have the first DarkBASIC, and the "sequel", or more powerful version, DarkBASIC Professional. The latter is what you should begin with because despite its name, they have similar difficulties.
