this topic is brought up so much...their should be a sticky with info on how to do strings(maybe including my function) and how to the stupid .def file and getting everything working...

my description on how to do it in the link above isn't that good, and probably now outdated..

I don't get it... why are you bothering with the .def file at all? Can't you just use GetModuleHandle("DBProCore.dll") and then call the GetGlobPtr function in it? Sounds easier than messing with name mangling. I agree these things need to be sticky'd though.

hmmm...
I thought dbp had to call RecieveGlobPtr or whatever from the dll?

...haven't done ANYTHING with dbp in probably a year so..

The advantage of using a .def file is that you can use Constructor() and Destructor().
