Hi there. I've decided to start making a few model packs. I need money for Uni so i need a way to raise funds.
Im not going to be making characters any time soon because i am hopeless at character modeling. But non organic things i can do.
I was thinking 20-30 models per pack going at about £30 pounds (too steep? or too cheap?)

Firstly i was going to start off with a Gun pack.
Already modeled myself a Dragunov SVD sniper rifle. Took about 2 hours.

What im going to do is model all the meshes then texture afterwards.
If you want to suggest any guns that could go in the pack, feel free.
Also if you have any suggestions to improve the models... or any suggestions on packs you would like to see made in the future... feel free also.

Cheers,

For one, nice sniper, as for the money, I was going to do something close to that (at least when I get a little better). So when I thought about it money wise, I figured, sell it at a lower price, and you will attract way more customers.

But if there are going to be 20-30 models per pack (and they are all that good), £30 pounds should be fine, im not 100% sure, but I think thats almost $60 (UK£ 30 = 59.23200 U.S. dollars?) and if they are fully textured, it would be worth it.

Im not sure about other packs yet, but you should include a Desert Eagle in one of them

thats a nice sniper only one thing that i think you should add to it: the scope looks kinda flat on the front and back. it would only be a few polys extra to seperate the lens from the rubber eye protector, you know what i mean?

Depends if this is only for dbpro or if it's for both dbpro and fpsc.

I think you should maximize detail on the back end of the scope and any area close to the camera, as that's the part the user will see 99% of the time, on your render the parts that come from the base of the visible barrel have the same ammount of sides as the scope which is a mistake as unless your reload animation is vert elaborate you will never see it, increacing the sides to the cylinder will help with astetics alot, and the extra polycount won't be a problem as there is only ever one gun on the screen.

I also think you should improve detail around the trigger housing and the general area of the left side of the gun, as textures can only help so much.

Thank you all for you comments.

@Meltabomb - Lol yeh i was going to add a Desert Eagle.

@jasonhtml- yeh i see what you mean, i could add a few extra things to it.

@Reality Forgotten - I'm hoping to make them FPSC ready aswell as working in other programs like DBpro

@Darkcoder - Yeh your right, i'll have to add way more detail. I could keep this version of the gun for the objects that other players hold. Your right again aswell... i was never happy with the area around the trigger housing.

Thanks again for your comments. Updates soon.

If you need those few extra polys for detail elsewhere on the weapon(s); I've seen some artists sacrifice the trigger for the in-game model. Nice work, it's one of my favorite sniper rifles.
