Can anyone tell me how to produce an animated ,x file that will play in DbPro?

I can play the animated hero.x file provided as a sample with DBPro. I've created animations in 3D Canvas, Milkshape and 3ds Max 7, all of which work within those programs but all of the exports to .X format are static.

I realise there have been various postings in this and the £D Canvas forum on realted topics but none seem to provide an answer.

Thanks,

I think you're doing something wrong, I pretty sure Milkshape anims export to .x (although there are like a few diffrent exporter options to try)

In 3DCanvas pro, select the object from the scene list and use export with directX scene hierarchy. It will be animated in DBP then if you play it. Make sure and click yes when asked about the animation frames.

Animations in milkshape, when exported, tend to output tons of frames, along the lines of 10,000's, so animating will make it still seem static. You'll need to change a value in the .x exporter:

Wait, I take that back. Just check the Animation Time Factor setting. Sorry

Thanks to all of you for your help but I'm still stuck.
If any of you have a test .x animation that you'd be willing to share and the corresponfing Canvas 3D or or Milkshape file it might help me pin down the problem.

My head's a bit sore from banging it against a birck wall
