I have never had a problem with the CINEMA 4D textures??? Bodypaint though, I dont have to worry about that program couse I hate it and will never use it anymore! It dosnt really matter if You have 3ds max or Milkshape (I got them too.) You really need a professional UV mapper anyway, I wourld recommend Ultimate Unwrap 3D that is a very fast and easy program to work with. The free program UVMapper is good for easyer models, but I wourldnt use it for Character-mapping. As I said, never had a problem with C4D textures, but I think that all C4D users understand that glass, gold & metallic textures only works in CINEMA 4D rendering and not in simple games...

Here's an excellent utility that many of us use:

ECS Pro

I highly reccommend it; as well as a tutorial to do it from scratch.

I have only one question about weapon making : How can I add the sort of flame to my weapon when it fires ?
I don't have FPSC Weapon Maker so I try to make my own weapons by copying one of the weapons folder and pasting it, changing the name, putting my own sounds\models\images\etc... so I would like to know how I can add the flame when my weapon fires.
Thank you (in advance) for helping me.

I believe you have to have a bone in your weapon called "firespot" or something like that.
You might search this forum for "muzzleflash".
There are two or three threads that cover it.
I am by no means an expert on weapons.
one of the experts can probably give you more info.

Where you want the muzzle flash to appear, you need to add a little polyon at the end of the weapon where the bullets will come out of and name it firespot.

It seems good, litunwrap is no longer available, it's now ultimate unwrap 3d, and I really dont wish to have to purchase yet another program when the tool I have has the ability to texture. It's just that I have a little trouble here and there with stretching and was looking for a tut using milkshape.

Thanks anyway

that link is no longer working,,probobly because the program is now what I named in the earlier post. Lithunwrap is no longer available.

I did a google searfch and every site I clicked on for Lithunwrap came up unavailable because of the new software.

I added a polygon called "FIRESPOT" to my HUD model, I can see that when I fire my weapon there is a sort of flash, but the flame does not appear. I tried to adjust new positions, but the flame does really not want to appear. How can I fix that ?

You have to add a bone called firespot, not a polygon.

When I placed the bone "FIRESPOT" instead of the polygon "FIRESPOT" , I tested my weapon and I got the same result as before (When I placed the polygon) : I can see the flash, but the flame still does not appear ! Should the bone be textured ? I don't think so, so what is the problem with my weapon ?
