Sure

Also, I recommend moving the chat box at the top so that it is not covered by other text, because normally I check what I type.

The script will only work, when there's a last empty line and there are no spaces in fornt of ='s (e.g. 'walkspeed= 3')

But that's not what caused the array out of bounds error.
Do you remember the line number?

Yes I already added that under "known bugs"

I'm working on update 1 that'll bring lots of improvements, bugfixes and finally fun-to-play gameplay!

- merchant (trade with him, sell and buy things)
- hit sounds
- working weapons (hit the ground and other players)
- and more

please watch the video and stay tuned for the update!

The serverlist will tell you that you don't have the latest version once the new update is available.
You'll just need to download and exctract a small zip in the same folder as the game.

Hi LEGO MMORPG FAN
I'd like to run servers, but my pc can't run all the time and doesn't have a static ip.

it's already luck that I found someone who runs my masterserver.

I have a couple of technical questions for you.

I am currently writing a MUD server in c++ and I am looking for potential hosting solutions

How much memory / bandwidth does your server use?
Does it run on windows or linux or both?
How much would it cost to run on a paid for host?

TheSturgeon(playing me at chess) : I will use my powers of the horse and pwnzor you.

I don't run a server myself. Someone else runs the masterserver for me. And sometimes I start a server on my computer.

I'd say it might be more cost efficient to run on a paid host, but if you're forking out on a server-farm then it's done most efficiently at home (I presume).

The idea of the Lego MMORPG is great!

I have test the game, but I was the only person. This is the only thing that I think not so good. And the map can be bigger.

The game is good. I´m happy than you work at the game and make bugfixes

The quest system fail, or?

Thank you.

I found out why my server <-> masterserver data sending didn't work anymore (TCP combines multiple messages into one!), so I could finally go on working and I improved the server: it auto-reconnects to the masterserver if the connection is lost now.

What other thing should I make/add/change/fix? (I won't realease an update just for a new server version...)

Just downloaded and tested it. Movement seems perfect, and stuff like that. Great music, by the way. ^^

Now, I'm just kind of itching to see more stuff like character window/stats, being able to use weapons and items... That kind of thing.

Looks really awesome, mate! ^^

everything looked good. 66 FPS (see sig for specs).

i bought a map and hit <esc> soon after and logged back in. no map; my char seemed to be reset (200 gold in inventory). no save functionality yet, i expect?

movement and camera work was pretty good. sometimes the camera feels a little tight but overall everything was pretty polished.

server list app was very nice.

3 suggestions:

1) place a darker, semi-transparent window/background behind the text/chat. or, outline the letters in a darker color. it's very hard to read.

2) needs 'auto-run' functionality. i kept hitting 'R' out of habit from other games about every 3 seconds

3) some kinda way to see if anyone else is logged in other than asking in chat (i'm partial to a /who command for this but whatever works).

otherwise, very nice. i'm excited to see what's next

Yeah, saw you in the server.
True, there's no accounting yet.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll surely add this
I appreciate any ideas, @all: keep 'em coming.

I just don't understand 2... do you mean you want the caracter to run all the time instead of having to press shift all the time?
Or are you talking about something else.

yes, have autorun so you don't have to hold the W key down to move. sometimes you'll want that while traveling any sizable distance, but other times you'll want to have more precise control, so i'd use the R key to toggle the autorun function off/on.

quick example:
