The one you specify when hosting. Clients don't have to open any ports.

Just thought I'd bump this thread so it doesn't get locked like the other ones. Hey Paul, are you making any progress on the game?

Oo oo, if this thread's still active I'd like to pose a question to the owner of this project:

Are you allowed to use Lego in the title and model Lego-men that look like the original?

I ask this because I recently started modeling Lego island for the fun of it:

and wondered if I could legally make anything of my efforts.

as long as it's free, it's just free advertisement for the LEGO group so I don't think they care.

Well... sometimes. I'd like to have started with it in C++ with oo. I can't live without that anymore. Everything else just feels so limited.

Right now I'm working on some new models, I'll see in which engine I'm going to use them (these are all realtime renders, the models have baked ao)

@ Master Xilo
Alrighty, thanks for that - I may continue this at some stage...

Oh and those new models look cool, I was concerned about the map because it looks too realistic, but with those on it, it should be good.

Ooh, I can't wait to see those in the game! Come to think of it, you should have a server up for people to join. You know, kind of a main official server.

I'd appreciate if anyone could do this. I can't unfortunately.

I'm already very thankful for Mr Makealotofsmoke running the masterserver, thx again!

The map still won't be made entirely of lego. More like the lego star wars/indiana jones games, where just some things are made of lego.

@Bytegrove- Hey, it's me, h8s2 from YouTube! How are you doing?

@Master Xilo- I'm glad there are good people like that in the world. Sorry, but I can't either. I've only got a laptop, so server hosting would have to come from elsewhere...
Hey, maybe one of the guys from this forum can! Once you come out with the next update, it might be easier for more people to play online, and maybe someone will volunteer to keep a permanent server up.

Yeh, that's a good mix - I was mainly just concerned with the foliage not being made of Lego, but the ground should be fine being realistic.

My spidey senses tell me that this thread is soon to be automatically locked. To prevent that, I will bump it. I'm sure Paul would appreciate that, wherever he is right now. I can't wait for the next update! Keep it up! Please don't give up on this project, it's awesome so far!
