Ok...*whew* it's 10:29 PM here and i'm leaving tomorrow morning at 6:30 AM!!!

but i managed to squeeze this baby out...

Dungeon is a game similar to "Chip's Challenge" except turn based

here are a few screenies of a few of the levels...(Randomly picked lol)

Download it here
.Rar 6.37 MBs
http://www.hellmutharts.com/downloads/Dungeon.rar

there are 50 levels!! (Took me all night to get all of them in there... )

if you have any questions that the Readme doesn't answer you can ask them here but i'll be gone tomorrow morning (6:30 AM ) for about a month...so Flynn (Flindiana) can answer them for you (he helped with some of the code and level porting...so he knows how it works )

See ya'll Augest 15th!!

Wow! 50 Levels! Downlaoding now, I'll tell you what I think as soon as i get a chance.

Last night I was looking up at the stars and said "Where the hell is my roof?!"

I just played it and it does have some pretty good puzzles. One thing that I did find annoying was that there were no explanations for what each block did (i.e. The grey blocks fill holes, the green turn blue after one move), so that made it slightly frustrating. That is pretty much the only problem I can think of right now, so good work.

thanks! i didn't have time to write that all out so i figured ya'll would figure it out...or ask Flynn...

BTW i almost forgot to mention it has a level editor! so if you get bored of those 50 levels you can make more (it's that same one i used to make them so you can do anything you see in those levels...)

anyway i'm off to catch a flight in dallas in 25 minutes! (leave that is...not catch the flight...)

[edit] oh, ya, i also almost forgot to mention that this version isn't nearly complete and i'm probably going to be making a 2.0 when i get back with these upgrades
Animations for everything instead of just the sliders
Sounds for everything that needs them
A few new types of blocks
Who knows what else

Pretty good so far. I'm only up to level 6.

Have to say the puzzles start off quite hard and maybe a few easier levels to start with would have been nice but maybe it's just coz I'm stoopid.

Never been a fan of puzzles where there are lots of hidden switches under blocks that you have to remember what action they take. And the levels with lots of knights don't really do it for me. Seems too much like luck whether you finish the level or not.

I'll try more levels later when my brain stops hurting.

It's not luck when there is lots of knights: you just have to watch and figure out the rules for them moving!

Looks like level 9 is impossible. I have tried every possible way to finish it and I believe it's bugged. Also, if you go from level 8 to level 9 then level 9 has an extra floor switch for some reason after knight pushes bottom trolley thing. If you load game from fresh and begin on level 9, then that switch is not there.

OOOPS!!! Sorry guys, level nine IS impossible. Here is the CORRECT level 9. Merely put it in the levels folder. (Wherever that may be)
Sorry once more.

I replaced the level 9 with the new one, and I figure I've got it worked out - I push the left yellow block right, push the left/right trolley thing all the way to the left, then push the top yellow block down, then left, then when I push it up, it disappears. Bug?

Well, it seems my coding compatriot crappily coded, so level nine (and probably others) are not going to work. Just use the "Load game" button to load all of the levels. The only ones (to the best of my knowledge) that might be impossible would be the ones with evil knights (or maybe even not-so-evil knights) I have no clue how his code works, or I would scramble and try to fix it. Sorry!

It's Okay... I guess... I'll try to fix some of the levels to where they will work...

[edit] O.K, Here's a NEWER Version of "Seventeen Years" that SHOULD actually work. *Crosses Fingers"

Yes, that works fine. Much easier without that pesky knight!

It looks great, reminds me of old Sokoban games.

BTW now that the judging is done if you download from the link at the top then the two problem levels (that we know of ) will be fixed.

sometime in the future there will be a 2.0 with quite a bit of improvements...including (but not limited to)
undo button
if you fail multiple times you can skip a level
new block types
more animations and sounds
more levels (of course)
and fixes for the coding errors
