I don't waant to bump an old thread, so I made a new one. Here is the socom model I gave away awhile ago, but it is animated and fpsc ready. For the obj and textures please go here http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=92788&b=24
There is a wierd transparency issue that I cant get my head around, but if anyone fixes it then please post an update. The license is for non-comercial games ONLY! This is my first model texture animation job fully finished so I am quite happy. There are no pickups sorry, but if someone makes them please post them here.

Comments welcome...

Ok i just realised something. My computer has a virus and I don't know if I should post files. I do not think the files are infected but I just don't know what should I do. Don't say remove the virus because I have tried that. Also the other thread was before I came down with the bad cold lol so the files there are safe. 20 views and no one to tell me what to do??!!!

Why would you not make completely sure your pc is clean of virus's before you post something for us to download? I personally don't care if your file is clean. The pc is infected. That's bad. I would'nt touch the files myself!

EDIT: I forgot, thank you for your honesty.

why are you posting an OBJ file for an animated gun?

OBJ is incompatible with FPSC, and contains no animation data.

Your transparency issue is odd. doesn't look like the faces are flipped, but more like the texture it'self is wrong...

I know you use maya, so heres a quick hint for the UV maps. Geting them on one map (as opposed to multiple.)

Select each part of the model, and go to "window"- UV texture window

leave that open as a floating window and return to the mesh viewer, now select each mesh in turn, and when it appears in the texture viewer, rightclick and select "UVs" from the selection menu. Move the UV outside the positive (top right) area of the graph on the UV editor window. DO this for all your mesh components. you should now have all the bits of your UV map outside the UV map area, choose select all, and select all of the meshes, switch to UV map window, and you should be able to see all the meshes maps. now you can go about placing them all in one texture file!

Anyway, nice model, you've come a helluva way!

I believe .obj files are used with silentwalk fps creator. Actually, I know they are.

EDIT: I am in no way accusing anyone of anything, I am mearly just stating a fact.

No I'm posting the obj so people can tweak the model if they want(still give me credit and non-comercal only). I posted the gamecore with the .x files first. Also I can't get the vweap to work. @butters I use uv mapper because I hate mayas uv mapper.
