I have updated my website now. It's still a work in progress but it serves my immediate needs. P.4 is not complete yet, I have not had the time to work on the bug since my last post. I will start on it tomorrow and we'll see how that goes. You can visit my website for a little shot of the new coin spin and box break animations, and a few words on the conference.

Thanks I went through a lot of designs until I figured I should go with something simple that I could expand on later. It's been a year since I got my logo registered and it's taken me this long to get even that much up This design is just HTML thrown together for now but I can make it work with Joomla! very easily and leave my bigger ideas for another day.

Sorry about the delay. I took last week off and I couldn't find it in me to code anything after I got that web page up. Now I have uploaded the final version of Prototype 4 and improved my site a bit, even figured out how to code a fancy download counter It's getting late so I'll be updating the front page and my sig tomorrow.

If anything doesn't work, file doesn't download or you get a crash then let me know ASAP!

I got a mod (thanks Ian) to change the topic.

I noticed that the text for "Revert map" didn't show up in the Map menu. This is due to a bug in the language file I had fixed but sadly I had more then one version and uploaded one without the change. You can download the new language file by right clicking here.

My website got a little face lift today, if you want to check it out. I'll be converting it over to Joomla! next.

Been talking to Steve and there will be an article in the next issue of the TGC newsletter with some info about the development of SGT and the exhibition etc. Keep an eye out for it

A few people have reported problems with the download link. I have removed my download script in favor of a direct link to the file itself. It works like any other download now

I just noticed that Maplist lists .tmap files, which it shouldn't. I'm gonna release a P.4.1 version which has this fix as well as the Revert map fix. It will also have a few minor P.5 things.

If you have found any other bug or have a small request, post it and I'll see if I can make it into P.4.1.

Thanks

On a side note: As I walked home on Friday I realized that some of the ideas I had had and implemented earlier that day wasn't actually so great; they made the program harder, not easier, to use.

I stumbled on a bug in the melee accuracy, which somehow led me to changing the names of Area radius and Area angle to simply Range and Angle. I gave them a try and thought I should make a box smashing test, take a look at the shot.

Doing so I also noticed that if the range is too long it crashes the program. I'll try to fix both bugs for P.4.1. In P.5 you will be able to use multiple attacks so these may come in handy.

I'm also thinking of improving the diagonal controls and add a little feature I call Tap aim. Activating Tap aim lets the player change angle without moving, aiming by tapping the key Both are quite related in code so I might as well add both.

64/360 - 64/180
64/90 - 90/90
(range 96 is inaccurate)

I've taken care of all the bugs I could find in the melee code and made it far more accurate, now it also take into consideration the player's exact position, not just what cell you're in.

I got the tap aim working and I think I've figured out how to improve the diagonal help system. The player code is 12-18 months old so it's not all that easy to understand right away

I've found two more bugs though, related to map loading in Player. It loaded an empty map once from Mapper and more then once from the maplist.

Anything else you would like to see in P.4.1? Found a bug somewhere? Let me know!

Thanks Well, I have created my own buttons because the ones in Blue GUI turned up with black frames. I think that happens when they are inside a frame gadget.
