Finished a CD-ROM programmed in DB Pro for my "ex-employers".

The Brief
*********
Prospect were wanting a DVD with videos, photos and information about their services that they could send out to clients

The CD-Rom
**********
It was decided that a CD-Rom would be the best way to target a larger audience base, as there are not many companies have DVD players or even DVD drives in their PC's - so this was the way forward. DB Pro seemed the obvious choice to me, but the main limitation was going to be the end-user requirements, (people with VGA and directx6 cards goddamn em! lol). So the actual 3D elements are mostly rendered videos of models, (like a poor-mans Final Fantasy!)

Late on I was struggling to find any royalty free music I could use for the intro sequence (I had a £0 budget & wasn't getting paid =( ) Luckily after a bit of a groveling email to Joel Nielsen (currently working on Black Mesa http://www.blackmesasource.com), he allowed me to use a couple of his samples for the project!

All in all the project took around 7 months to complete, which was a bit of a stretch. Being an commercial advertising product, nothing could be used of stock or copyrighted material, everything apart from the music was created by myself from the models to the cursors, icons, backdrops the works.

Anyways I'd like to know what you all think so here's a list of the vids I uploaded to document the app's progress.

No didn't get paid as such, only my low hourly rate as a mailing machine operator whilst I worked on it in (only partly in works hours). Ex-employers cause I didn't even recieve a thankyou. Needless to say I'm glad to be gone from there. At least it's something to put in my portfolio as I'm now scouting for a new job
