Enterprise and Developer have been changed to "Custom". If a developer wants/needs tighter integration with their gaming software, we will custom code their edition of Phoenix to suit their needs. There is no set fee, but a Custom edition can be as simple as an Advanced license with a custom code-block for recurring registration checks. Simple to code and not very expensive. All in all, that custom example would could around $75.

Bottom line: The Custom Edition is to cover ANY need of any developer who wishes to harness the power Phoenix and our web-based registration system and/or custom programming alternatives.

Media Packs

If you're interested in producing a media pack for Phoenix, here are the specs:

Note: These are the minimum requirements. If you want to produce a complete set of button images/sounds to tie Phoenix's buttons with the in-game buttons, email me so I can code the changes necessary to make it work with FPSC.

You can independently produce and sell media packs for Phoenix, however only those approved by Phoenix Sentry will be distributed with the product and endorsed. Only officially approved and endorsed media packs may carry the Phoenix Sentry logo and/or name and /or trademark. All other media packs compatible with Phoenix will be considered "generic" packs. Email me or a Phoenix Sentry representative to request endorsement of your pack.

Images:
Format: PNG w/alpha
Maximum Width: 512 px
Maximum Height: 64 px

Sounds:
Format: .wav (CD Quality)

File List:

LaunchImageName=launch.png
LaunchImageOverName=launch_over.png
LaunchImageDownName=launch_down.png
ExitImageName=exit.png
ExitImageOverName=exit_over.png
ExitImageDownName=exit_down.png
ResetImageName=reset.png
ResetImageOverName=reset_over.png
ResetImageDownName=reset_down.png
RePlayImageName=replay.png
RePlayImageOverName=replay_over.png
RePlayImageDownName=replay_down.png
[ButtonSounds]
MouseOverSound=mouse_over.wav
MouseDownSound=mouse_down.wav
SettingsSound=settings_sound.wav

Example:

Menu Designer with One-Click image/sound files loaded:

Quote: "Do I have to send all the media to you so you can make one of those "one-click files" or is there some way to do it myself?"

Put the following info in a regular Notepad text file:

[Images]
LaunchImageName=launch.png
LaunchImageOverName=launch_over.png
LaunchImageDownName=launch_down.png
ExitImageName=exit.png
ExitImageOverName=exit_over.png
ExitImageDownName=exit_down.png
ResetImageName=reset.png
ResetImageOverName=reset_over.png
ResetImageDownName=reset_down.png
RePlayImageName=replay.png
RePlayImageOverName=replay_over.png
RePlayImageDownName=replay_down.png
[ButtonSounds]
MouseOverSound=mouse_over.wav
MouseDownSound=mouse_down.wav
SettingsSound=settings_sound.wav

Then name the file XXX_Color_Size.pxm and save it. An example filename would be "PGPS_ROBO_512.pxm" or "Underside_Gold_256x32.pxm".

If you don't have the sound files, just leave them out and we'll use standard Phoenix sound FX in your pack. Just leave out the mention of the sound files in your license if you choose to place a license file with your media pack.

Place it in the same folder as your media and Phoenix will do the rest. Just make sure your media files follow the naming conventions above and it works like a dream.

Note to All: Phoenix Sentry will not pay you to produce a media pack. If you want to make a few dollars on your pack, you have the right to sell it to the community. Only officially endorsed media packs may carry the Phoenix Sentry logo/name/trademark. However, if your pack is SO good that we MUST have it, I will pay you for your expertise and exclusive contract.

Good point.

I logged in as administrator and saw that the forum was waiting for you to respond to the new account email thing. I know you don't get email from our server most of the time, so I changed your account status to registered. You should be able to read/post everything now.

P.S. Did you get my email about your order?

Not the "regular" ones that come with Phoenix and are just for use on the settings screen. However, people who make them for Phoenix can sell them. If we endorse them, then they can sell them on the Phoenix Sentry website.

@Trinity Pictures: I used a combination of FPSC, 3ds Max and Vegas for the ones with the Humvee in it.

For the one with Decker walking in the hospital room, I created the scene in FPSC, converted to an .x file with a little DBpro application I made, imported into 3dsMax, re-textured the scene and animated the character. Then output it as an avi.

Convert It! by Phoenix Sentry

Convert It! Has been updated with a new look and (most importantly) the ability to do batch conversions of files to .tga and .dds with the "_d2" designator automatically entered in the filename. If you use the FPSC Segment editor, then you know why this part is so important.

Guardian will be a stand-alone product for programmers who are interested only in the online registration part of Phoenix. The developer will be given sample code upon which to build their connection strings to allow online registrations of their products using their own programming language interfaced with our web based registration system.

Hmmm...sounds like a prospectus.

@Underside: Yeah man, Bass is a pale ale from th UK. Bitter but good!

@Goodman84: It's done, but not being offered yet because I haven't discussed a sales strategy with the team yet. Also, crispex is working on a GUI that adds additional functionality and he's not sent the source to me yet for review.

@Duplex: That's great, can't wait to see it! Credits? Well here's the break-down so far:

Staffers:
DarkFact - Programmer
FastBurst - Financial Director/Web Guru/Programmer
crispex - Programmer/Beta Tester
Underside - Media Director

Contributers:
Seth Black - 5 Media Packs/Banner Advertiser
Underside - 2 Media Packs/Banner Advertiser
Nickydude - 2 Media Packs
Duplex - Banner Advertiser
A. Duva - Media Pack in Development

There's also around 25 people that have been involved in beta testing since the beginning. If I left anyone out of the Banner Advertiser list, I apologize. By the way, the people showing our banner as their signature did that own their own. I cannot thank them enough because that is truly the most honest show of support I can think of. Thank you guys!

Yay My name's there!

I'm thinking on a horror Media Pack, You have listed a list of filenames, do they all have to be there, cause I aint to good at sound effects, but I'll have a go if they have to be there.

No they don't' all have to be there. In fact, if you only make the launch.png, replay.png, reset.png and exit.png, the pack will still work. I coded the Menu Designer to use the one image for all three in the event the user doesn't want rollover and click effects.

If you leave out the sound F/X, we'll put in our own and edit the license information accordingly.

Depends. In England if you can find a Boddingtons then they come in either bottles or cans with the gas in. Come to think of it, some of the cans sold in bulk don't have gas balls in them at all. Anyway, back on topic again
