@Nickydude: Got your pack and put it in the Media Pack folder. It will be in the next installer build. You didn't put a license file in it, do you want me to put in the Phoenix Sentry one or you can email me one?

Here's some screens from Undersides "Survival" media pack:

I'll post some examples from Seth Black and Nickydude as well.

Yes, you can supply a background image. Also, you can supply the other buttons for use within the actual FPSC game.

I just have to do some coding to make it work, but that will tie everything together nicely.

Note: The images can be a maximum of 512 in width and a maximum in height of 64 with any combination between. This is only because of the default button placement in the Menu Designer. Theoretically, you can make the buttons any size you want, but I have made the button placeholders max out at 512x64. I will work on making this more flexible in the next update.

Fantastic work Team! I apologize about not being able to reply or help out over the weekend. I had a personal family emergency and all is right with the world once again.

The reason you couldn't find the specials online on our site was I wanted to give the current client a head start and upper edge.

There will be a public advertisement sometime today that you will be able to see and take advantage of.

I haven't gotten any copies of emails about it. Dave would have to change the nameservers as he set it up.

Space is about 1 Gig, in terms of a website that huge since most websites are not larger than 10 MBs. It cant be a download heavy website either as this kills space and bandwidth quickly. We don't want that.

It supports ASP but not Microsoft ASP.

I would suggest making your form in PHP or CGI or Perl.

@Underside,

Quote: "Yup, they have to be either 512x64 or 256x32."

Actually, I've had success with a current button that's 166x64 in size.

64 is hardcoded into the application as a heigth maximum, but widths of odd size will work.

@DarkFact,

I'll be forwarding two really unigue packs in a day or so....Kanamit and Visceral.

Thanks,

Seth Black

All of you guys that are donating your time and talent are doing an outstanding job! Many thanks to you all.

To be more clear on that subject, here's the way it works. The menu buttons in both the Menu Designer and the in-game settings screen are purposely set to a maximum height and a maximum width. This is so you don't accidentally put in a button around 512x6400 or something. So the maximum width is 512px and the maximum height is 64px. (I don't personally see a need for a larger button size, but let me know if I'm being too strict on this.)

Technically, you could use an image 1x64, 50x64, 512x3, 51x7, etc. As long as the x and y dimensions fall at or below the maximum setting.

@DieRider: Great! I can't wait to see it.

Since I have the weekend to "work" now, I will have time to finish up everything I wanted to accomplish on this release of v20. So subsequent downloads of Phoenix will have all the media packs made by Seth Black, Underside, Nickydude, myself and DieRider.

Let me also take this space to announce 2 things, well not really announce but more like tease:

Phoenix sponsored contest coming up soon. Details are not finalized, but I can tell you that part of the Grand Prize will be £50 ($100), a copy of Phoenix Custom Edition and a high-end graphics card.

The term of the contest will be a minimum of 60 days to create a 2 or 3 mini-game. The mini-Game theme will not be restricted to a particular genre. The restrictions will be few and mainly be structural. For example, I liked the nVidia contest restriction of a level being 15x15x5. I would use this restriction also. It's not just for level optimization, but it makes you think of how to get the most of a smaller piece of game space.

I will make the official announcement on this soon because I want to be able to announce the winner(s) by 1 December 2007.

Phoenix v2.0 (NT: New Technology) under development. The new technology, will give you complete run-time protection of your media without ANY OS based, file based or application based roadblocks placed on the end-user.

In other words, you'll get complete protection of your game media without imposing any restrictions on your customer.
