Toasty - Yeah for some reason when I directly look out the window the fps drops dramatically.. Still trying to fix this issue..

A13X - I'm not very good with the whole trigger thingys, but I'm gonna mess around with it, I'll keep things posted

AI - Yeah I'm a pretty mean guy when it comes to sniping

Here's some new screens.. After you kill the colonel you'll have to make your way down the fire escape, and through the back alleys.. I've got the fire escape stairs done, and just started on the back alleys..

Looks nice

Add a few more windows everywhere (Boarded up) dirt up the brick textures to make it look less red (too bright for me), add some more trash everywhere on the ground, I mean really, are the Russians cleaning up trash, while killing us? Sorry if that sounded harsh, I can get like that sometimes, and it should look more realistic.

Other than that, looks good. Can't wait to play it.

If the Colonel is immobile, you should make a dramatic scripted death for him. Gibbing, spawning a huge blood splat something like that. Take advantage of his immobility Also, a Barret .50 cal is an anti-armor weapon so it would do a lot of damage to a person.

Looking fantastic, Twitch. This is a lot like COD's All Ghillied Up, in that you have to snipe a high-ranking officer, then escape without being killed!

EDIT: Oh, BTW, you'll have to come up with a demo pretty soon, or FredP will lock this. None of us want that to happen.

How do you increase the frames with so many polygons around? (I am really amazed of the F12-F29/30 transformation.)

I'm eager to see the demo, but that depends on my d*mn connection. I might as well download it on a cafe and hog resources.

Looks great twtich but the skybox isn't working IMO.

I'd offer to help but I'm don't know how to re-trxture them. I think it would be cool if you could take the city skybox from FPSC and somehow make it darker, like a night city skyline. Even though you've put extra buildings in the background, I don't think its working that great (no offence), as the smoke sticks out too much against teh buildings.

Everything else is looking brill. Love the fire escape...

Can't wait for demo.

Well everyone has been saying stuff about the sky lol, well the game is running is test mode so thats the default skybox.. I plan on usuing either a night time sky or some sort of city sky.

TeamASP - I had quite a few enemies down by the colnel at once and I think thats what was killing the fps. So i decreased from 10 to 5 or 6, cant remember off the top of my head..

Zeldar - I'll have to look into this new AI, I'll keep you informed..

Beware of certain things with my AI - it's rather intensive on the engine. It's great for indoor firefights, but for outdoors, while giving nice results, it might prove to eat too much of your CPU

Level 4 is complete, I'm workng on getting the demo finished, but I'm getting an error while its building level 3 so I have to fix that. Hopefully it'll be up late tonight or sometime tomorrow.

Well as far as the main menu, I dont really have much picked out for it, so I just have the background and music changed for now, cuz I dont feel like messing with that for just a demo. And yes 1024x768 is the right size

Still trying to get this build game working.. I keep gettin that good old debug 0.0 error on level 3 and 4.. I've heard that it normally occurs when there is a wierd collision between lights.. Kinda wierd cuz both levels run fine in test mode..

FPSC is quite weird when handling exceptions. It doesn't have an error report to where that error occured. (One can use that line and post it here for exception handling.)

Nukie's one of the closely watched work in progress and I certainly agree that this is one of the best even though it isn't released yet.

Well level 3+4 keep getting errors when I build game so I'm gona have to fix them. I made a demo containing levels 1-2 so you'll get a slight taste. I'm pretty disappointed because level 3 and 4 are really kool, mainly level 4 which I put a lot of work into. I even tried making a demo with just level 1, 2 and 4 but it kept getting debug 0.0 when it was building level 4. So I gope to get level 3 and 4 working soon, which then I'll release a demo with 3+4 hopefully. I'm uploading the demo right now so it should be good to go later today.

You could always just copy the entire layout of level 3 and 4 into a new file and see what happens Or even try this:

Try make a single demo of level 4.

If this doesnt work mess with the settings, perhaps take out sections of the lighting until it works. May be time consuming, but then you'd atleast eventually find it.

Well the demo is uploaded, but I downloaded it on my brothers comp 2 make sure it works, and it gets an unexpected error when trying to run it. He doesnt have FPSC but that shouldnt make a difference. It runs fine on my comp..

I havent really edited any of the menus, except for the background.. Dont really feel like messing with the for a lil demo. As far as the story goes I havent gone too indepth with story segments, sound segments, and such, cuz I wanna go back and do those when I've finished the game completely.

yeah, it doesnt make sense. everything builds fine, it creates a separate .exe and everything else. Runs fine on my comp, but it doesnt work 4 ne1 else.. grr this is getting annoying..

It works fine. Or, well, as fine as it can work.
The problem with other comps is probably that they have an outdated DX9. I've run into the same problem with my game, and every single time updating the DirectX has helped.

I played this for a while, but I'm kinda disappointed, it felt laggy and broken. I accidentally walked out of the level twice (once through a door, and after the Hum-Vee and the soldiers at the yard, I jumped over one of the fences...) Only 3 of all the soldiers in the level reacted to me, others just stood there while I shot them... And except for the first few rooms, the game ran at less than 17fps (although my crappy computer is a factor there)
I'll post a full crit tomorrow after playing more.

It worked fine for me. Aside from the lag, it was probably the best fpsc game I've played. And I am happy because in the last two weeks, I have seen three gamest hat use my construction pack.

Ehetyz - Can you get some screens of where you fell through the floor because I havent experienced that at all when I tested any of the levels. There are some areas that I do experience some lag but for the most part it runs pretty smooth for me. And as far as the AI goes, it seems to be different everytime I play. Sometimes they shoot right when I come into view, and other times they dont shoot at all. But thats the default AI for you, so I cant really change that sorry

Hmm.. Now that does draw an old memory. I bet thats the end of the vent on level 1 right? If it is I did experience that waaay back when I was working on level 1, but I fixed it, or thought I did :S but at the time I just turned around and walked backwards and wound up in the room so I could continue testing the rest of the map,and it worked. But I'll have to fix that for sure. Thanx puppy
