Hello!
I've been going over this idea for a while now and I have finally decided to go ahead on some tutorials covering some Photoshop nonsense and maybe some Cinema 4D shiny things.

I'll probably get started on creating the videos in a few weeks, but what I would like to know is what do you want to see?

I've got a few images here that I intend to cover:

Along the way I would hope to get a across certain techniques and cover features that Photoshop/Cinema 4D has to offer.

Cheers,
BiggAdd

This looks really cool. I'll definitely read/watch the tutorials! I'd love to add some of those cool effects to my WIP website!

I'd love to see you cover basic techniques and go up to advanced stuff. But that would probably take a heap of your time

Thanks for your comments.

That would be fine. I intend to make this a regular project to undertake. I was going to avoid doing the basic stuff because sometimes it can get quite dull, But if it's what people want then I'd be happy to do it.

Cheers!

Added to favorites! I have CS3 and I can't wait to use the power of it!

EDIT: basic up to advanced would be great!

Excellent; I may have to link to your work from BGD. I've always enjoyed looking for your new sigs, etc. Thanks for taking the time.

Who knows... Only time will tell. I'll let everybody know where they are posted when they are up.

What resolution do you guys want the videos? 800x600?

Cheers.

I'll Probably do it just a fixed screen. I find zoom and pan quite annoying. Also if I'm updating layers etc, it is useful to see what is going on in the project.

Cheers,

In that case, can the video res. be a decent size? Such as 800X600 as you already suggested.

Thanks!

Thanks BigAdd!!

When zoomed i think the screen follows mouse. I find this method best because it helps follow better. Check out "You suck at photoshop" videos at youtube

Interesting. But the problem is I use a graphics tablet, So the mouse will be going all over the place. I'll try both and see which one works out better.

Cheers,

Very nice of you to make these tutorials BiggAdd Just a question, since you appear to use a lot of photoshop, do you know of any tutorials that explain making vectorized work? Sort of like that background on your sig. Or will this be covered in one of your tutorials? Thanks.

I'm not sure of any tutorials myself, But I'll definitely cover it.
How do you mean by vectorized though? Do you mean the sort of drippy cloud, paint splash sky style? Or do you mean vector art, by layering a load of shapes to make an image?

Cheers,
BiggAdd

What do you guys want to see covered first?

Could do. What I intend to do is cover the basics as I go along, So every time I use a tool I haven't covered, I will go over it before hand so you know how it works.
Also distributing the photoshop files along with the release of the video.

I haven't lost interest just life got in the way. I'm also expecting to get my brand new computer as we speak (type) so I will really be able to use Photoshop at max!

I'm glad that your covering the basics, cause I don't know much about art, terminology, or other stuff! I'm really looking forward to these!

Awesome! I'm looking forward to this. As far as video size goes and all that, I'm a bit of a fan of the way Andrew Kramer does his tutorials at http://www.videocopilot.net. I'm not sure how he compresses it or whatever but they're pretty good quality picture and quick to load.

@The Crazy: I think you messed up with your sig, the html isn't a link, and it would be cool to be able to click the banner and be directed there. Nice and funny site though, I enjoyed the grunt soulja boy

Nice Biggadd. very nice. Did you go to/are you in school for graphic design? Or are you self-taught? I myself learned most of photoshop by myself in high school. I'm currently in my third semester at the Pittsburgh technical institute for multimedia design. So I'm learning some cool tricks with photoshop/premier/flash/indesign/illustrator. Although I don't really like illustrator.
Anyway, your work is very good. I'll have to watch your tutorials and see if you know something my professors don't! (Or at least haven't taught us yet.)

EDIT: Lol. Just started watching your tutorial, you answered both my questions in the first minute! sorry.

...but I am the ferret king!!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! tremble before my ferret minions!
