Exageration :
-Making something big out of something small
-Saying something that havent been told you, but in someway it benefit your image - a.s.o.

This dosnt proofe that time isnt the fourth dimmensin.

BTW,
-Wich AXIS come after x,y,z?
-And wich AXIS do have time?

Its like air, we dont see it and we know its there.
Time exist and we know it LOGICALLY "MUST" have its axis.

And thats why we call it the FOURTH DIMENSION.

3 Dimensions, cause it is made of 3 directions.
2 dimensions - Cause it is made of 2 directions.
4 Dimensions - cause it is made of fourth dimensions.

If time exist thenD exist too.

Time is Called the last AXIS cause " TIME " is the ONLY factor that use the Number 4 Direction, wich is UNKNOWN.

Is not that hard to understand, is it?

1 dimensional a dot
2 Dimensional a line
3 Dimensional a box
4 Dimensional a box that has moved from a to b ( as a object cannot be in two places at once the method of describing the change is time aka the fourth dim)

I believe all other dimensions cannot be imagined but can be described mathematically

changes dont prove the existence of time. they do prove that things dont stay the same but they don't prove the existence of time.
Hair growth just shows hair growth. What i'm saying is that the concept of time may never have existed without humans gravity always existed it took a while for humans to figure it out but it did

atoms existed before us
dna existed b4 us
all of this and more i would never challenge simply becuz without us the concept of it still would have existed.
Time however would not have existed without us.
DNA has proof it existed before us look at old fossils and stuff dna is in them
Gravity has always been there to hold objects down
However, time, at least the concept of it was not there b4 us.

That was never my intention. I was just saying that any theory we make can be completely wrong.

kilomain,Hi.
time was b4 us,as I sayed time is change.
The fact that we evolved and not just appeard out of thin air suggests of time ,you cant say that time started along with us.
cos there are proofs of things that happend before mankind(big bang)
as we observe distant start we can see what happend a long time before us ,and here is your proof that time existed before mankind.

There are actually 11 dimensions predicted by the super-string theory and Time is now considered to be the 5th dimension

Codger...a 4th dimension box isn't a box that moves through space...it is called a hypercube...and it looks like a box within a box...sorta

Yo, KeeblerElf thats very interesting. Post some sources so I read up on that.

And Kiloman...Time is uninversal. Time is the name we have given to the order and passage of events. We call the 'distance' between one event and another time.GASP!! Guess what...events happen..withought humans...we just gave it a name.

Just because we refer to the sky as ..the sky! doesnt mean it didnt exist until we named it such. If you want to see howmuch of a dimension time is accelerate your happy self near the speed of light...you'll see a big difference .

And Exeat your abosuletey right.

It's just been 80 years. And his theories have been vindiecated over that time..over and over. 'back in the day' people really could not fire up their home grown particle acceraltor and see what happens near the speed of light. Today we can. Our ability to test our theories has grown trememdously.

And I did not contradict anything you said. Just made a statement.

Rock on

Laws come from people who want to make us unhappy. Like Teachers. And the message boards moderators (J/k about the moderators stuff)

By the same logic, everything can be disproven.

I totally disagree, the only things that can be proven are the things we've created. The way the universe works can't be proven because we didn't write the laws of physics, we just guessed what they were.

I agree with Exeat.

This topic is pretty complicated. It's like we could only assume things. We can't really prove anything except the laws and other things we, humans, have made. In my church (youth group), we talked about the same thing but it just lead to a big argument.

Life's tough.

Don't know what you have ... there are 2 possibilities of 4D

Physical: there are only 4 Dimensions: 3D + Time = 4D
Mathematical: There is no limit of dimensions, its no problem to prove that there are things like hypergeometric constructions in XXth Dimension and how the are constructed in there ... you just can't visualize it

I dug up the other post (Jan 2003!).

It's so stupid,
175 posts of argumenting!!!!! (4 pages!)
It lasted 5 (tjats right, 5) months!!!!!!
I only read the first few posts and they hardly amde sense.
I remember when I first saw that post, I ran the code and it was just
like the Windows 3.1 screen saver (I think newer oses have it too).
