This 'MOD' Is based on the ENB Series GFX Mod For flat out 2 (Made by Boris Vorontsov). It was then altered and adapted for FPSC
*Non Commercial Use only!. If you wish to use this Mod in a commercial product, you must email the original author for permission

* For optimum performance, you should use this MOD in conjunction with 'Ply's' MOD.

Yes..you read right..I am releasing my FPSC GFX Mod (codenamed X-Tasy) to the community. I came to this decision after realising that I have taken alot from various TGC Froum users over the years, without giving much back in return, So as a little present for you all..Here is my GFX MOD.
License
Non Commercial use Only.

This Mod Includes (already):
*Bloom
*Ambiance occlusion
*Motion Blur
*Per Pixel lighting
*Reflection and refraction of light or metal surfaces (e.e weapons)
*Environment bump
*Shadow smoothing and blending
*SSAO Filtering
*Anti aliasing and AF settings
*Contast adjust and adaption

Working on:
*Depth of Field
*Heat Haze
*New Bumpbone shader (Thats nearly done)

images

Outstanding issues
*Ad text shows in left corner for 3 secconds when Mod is activated(This is because it is based on the EnB Mod for Flat out 2). This can be fixed by deleting this text from the .dll. I forgot to do this when adapting, and I now don't have time to correct it, so could someone please sort this out then re-upload)

*Current Key Combo for MOD activation within game is Shift+F12. Again someone is welcome to alter this to a better key combo, or delete the key conbo. Please let me know when you do this

Note: You MUST! Have shaders enabled when using this MOD.

Version list for X-Tasy
*Version 0.85: [includes all the above features]:http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=5d40e92ed4b12340d2db6fb9a8902bda

Thats all! All you have got to do is get playing (and modding!)

Lol, I like the name as it sounds like Ecstasy(A drug which makes you hallucinate) maybe you wanted to make it sound like that. Sounds awesome though.

Wow, I can't wait to try this out! As Punk said, will this have a significant drop in framerate?

I know I just posted, but are these .dll's simliar to Ertlov's "mod" or is this an FPSC-Game.exe? Either would be nice, but .dll's are much more flexible.

It's a .dll package.

Thanks all!!..only about half an hour to wait!
Gunn3r is correct, this is a .dll package with a .ini file. As for FPS, it's doesnt have a significant drop on FPS, even on large maps, so you should all be fine

Not long Now!

Thanks for the comments guys. The Download for version 0.85 in now up! I hope you all enjoy what I have so far, and I look forward to seeing what you guys think of it, as well as all of your modifications and features that you will probably all add to X-Tasy.

Enjoy

Okay, not to start a fight, this is nice work, but shouldn't you give some credit to the orginal author of the modded-mod, Boris Vorontsov? The orginal work was done by him, I'm just giving it a point. I'll download in a sec and tell you how this runs on my crappy comp.

Best.

I don't understand how you got ambient occlusion, relfection, and environmental bumping in with your method. How did you get that to work?

Thankyou all for the kind comments. DoF should be coming soon. Remember that you are allowed to MOD the files to fix the outstanding issues etc

@tjaabee: I did give credit in my readme. I stated that this MOD is based on the ENB series MOD for Flat out 2

@maras220: From what I can gather from the message, it doesn't seem to be the fault of the MOD as such, due to it's not a direct source Mod, and therefore, none of the main files have been altered. Make sure you have cleaned all other MOD files from your system, and then do a repair or clean install of FPSC. Then if you wanted, update to the latest version of FPSC.

Try that

I cant seem to use the reflection shader..
the window is basically just a window texture. Not even transparent.

Can somebody help me witht his? Attached is a picture.
I replaced the old glass texture with the new one.
I also looked into the Settings, enabled the reflection settings..
Or at least i think i enabled it...cause it was set on 0 and i putted it on 1.

EDITED --- Sorry for the BMP.

Wow... I must say I am very impressed!

This came out of no where and I'm glad it did!

I'll be downloading this later today and will definitally give it a try.

Before I do, though, might I ask how it is the developer is supposed to alter certain aspects of the shaders? You know, like customise the way the shader looks.... especially Bloom and Reflection.

Thanks, CoZ!!! This was a brilliant idea!

@Cheese CakeL The reflection shader works by reflecting light of some matalic objects such as weapons. Currenly, I have not assigned it to windows..and windows dont't reflect, they refract light. You should find enclosed in the files you downloaded a replacement window shader for the 'sci-fi window large'. This creates a nice effect on the window glass . I shall (or maybe someone else might beat me to it) be adding automatic refraction to X-tasy later on

@Plystire: Thanks!. The effects can be altered in the settings.ini file

Oh, yeah right now its just a texture...without any modification on it..
I didnt noticed any light reflects...would have to test it again if i see any light reflects.

OMG! Nice work man! Wicked cool mod that can be used in ANY version without direct source modifications = A work of pure genious! So how would we go about editing the dll's?
EDIT: Yeah I get a terrible fps...Just my bad comp I bet.
Oh yeah, whats all the stuff about water in setup.ini?

Welp... just tried it out and the text in the Editor doesn't bother me at all so I opted to leave it there.

However, when i used it..... I got a framerate of 9-10 FPS. Even with timerbased movement, this wouldn't be a very good thing at all.

System Specs:
Athlon 64 X2 4200+ (2.2Ghz)
2 GB RAM
GeForce 7900 GTX 256MB (I think it's a 256MB... don't remember, lol)

Yeah, not a highend computer, but it does get a lot of work done in terms of games.

For what I was able to play, I was disappointed that the motion blur didn't take effect when simply looking around real fast, but only happened when your character actually moved. Not a huge deal, but was something I had hoped for. The bloom worked as expected. I didn't have a chance to test the reflection shader, though.

All in all, I say it's a great Mod, though not for my system.

Nor mine, 6 fps here:

[quote]Vista Home Premium,

4Gb RAM,

ATI Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core CPU 5000+,

ATI Radeon X1300/X1550 series,

320Gb HDD,

Shame, it all looked so pretty. Strangely, the bloom and other effects aren't visible when one takes a screenshot....

Another thing I'd like to see is to have a setting that disables the "Shift+F12" (de)activation and activates it at startup automatically. That way it can be used for a release.

In the Settings.ini file you can change Bloom and all that good stuff...

I cut all of the Bloom values in half and I saw pretty much no difference in appearance, though.
