Fantastic work Vickie, everthing so far looks superb. I've just read everones comments and so far no one has asked about your games storyline (I think). So let me be the first...
What is the storyline behind this potential AAA masterpiece?

here you go Ark~

The story of Witch Gate takes place an eon after the great war of fire, and in this age the humans have mutated into many sects. The story of Witch Gate is a tragic one, no-one alive knows when the great war of fire happened, but the story has been passed down from the Ancients that the Witch Gates were built in order to preserve the world.
The world itself is made up of floating islands that can only be accessed by traveling through the Witch Gates. The Ocean surrounds the world of floating islands like a huge bubble, keeping the life-giving air from floating out to space. Each island has a sect that occupies it; some are nice, some are very dangerous. And the adventure begins!
These sects are made up of Elves, Dwarfs, Nomes, Humans, Goblins, Trolls and Dragons. The story centers on a great quest, as all of the sects are trying to find the seven Stones of Light. When these are found, the one that combines the stones will have the power of a god.
You must choose what sect to be part of, and either work as a team or by yourself as a rogue to find these stones. The quest will be long and hard, but it must be done. Each player will choose what sect to belong to, and what class to be. The classes include Fighters, Witch Doctors, Sorceresses, Witches, Rogues, and Dark Wizards. Each class has its own set of special powers, which you can build on.

Here is some insight on what happens in the end! Once a player or group finds the Stones of Light, they must take them to an island that is not on any of the maps. This island was created by the Ancients and is actually a space ship. Once you place the stones in the containers it starts a great storm that will collapse the sky ocean forcing the islands to collide with one another - but this does not destroy the world! Instead, what it does is reshape the world back to its original shape, a globe called earth. Then the second part starts.... but you will have to play it to see what that is!

Always~

I like the sound of your story for your game, your Rouge looks cool to.

I think I've given up on truespace now I just can't get my head around it, I think I'm going to look for some one to help me build my models for my vishion of what I wont my game to look and fell like, would you be intersted?

if yes you can have some artistic freedome to do what you wont, just as long as I can have some say over what cind of stile I wont for my game.

if yes you don't have to start now be cos I know your bisy with witchgate, I just wont to know if you would be intrested, even if its just for small things like body parts or creats etc.

Oh, by the way, if youre ever short pf textures and suchj, i saw this filter forge thing that bump maps and normal and alpha and specular and normal maps automatially plus makes things seamless, i use that or my source of textures, the comunity yas thousands of freebies, and not the loada bull you see on other places lol

neway, i wanted to say the sky world is looking Magnif!

I would like to point out tht you could ass a spire that emits energy from one spre to another, thus kweping the islands floating in a group, im in process of modeling and texturing one, and ill give some concepts, up to you if you want it

Hi Vickie-

First off it's rogue, not rouge. Maybe your right hand types faster than your left like mine does.

Anyway these are all very nice screen shots of course but I'd like to see what type of meat n' potatoes work you are doing on the game. Just a general overview of what working in Realmcrafter is like would be nice.

For instance, are you writing scripts for events (locked doors, trapped chests, etc), and are you importing custom character animations? Do you have control over character stats and skills? Just wondering what else goes on when making a game in Realmcrafter, and how does someone go about making it behave differently than other Realmcrafter games?

I'm not a real programmer but I play one with DBPro!

one thing im curious about is the spell-casting system

obviously you could use the diablo 2 style chain of learning or the radom guild wars selection, and the bar at the bottom of the screen, of, itd be interesting of th player got a challenge into rmembering spells and how to cast them, for example, typing ina word o sorts, or, using the mouse to select runes in order to make one, like eternal darkness did

im not saying thay the under bar is bad, but i guess if you used runes you can determine the strength o the spell, that could also give a space in your game for hidden spellbooks in order to acquirethis certain rune just a suggestion hunni xXx

I think ill take the blue pill

new pics looking good, hope to see more as it comes.

Vickie can I ask you if you make the bodys of your character separate from the clothing?

if so can you change the clothes in game?

be-cos thats how it was done in morrowind/oblivion/fallout3 etc.

and I think that it would be the best bet for your game if you havent done this.
be-cos you can change the armor and clothes to suit your players needs i.e. for stelth a black cloak and ninja clothes, for combat thick armor, for speedy fights light wait lethers etc.

hope this helps

my heart is thudding! this is perfect! are you going to make them elementals? - maybe have a constant particle flow around them of their element? or..... will you have the player select elemet upgrades at each level?

I got realmcrafter but i cant authenticate it, the site doesent have the option to authenticate on the site can you sensd me a msg on this on how to??

oh, ps: Realmcrafter ( no doubt you know this ) is going to dx 9 any plans for the upgrade of effects? have you left spaces and opportunities open for replacing textures / adding bumps and refracting realistic water?

I think ill take the blue pill

You're definitely very good with the artwork, some of these places I'd be pretty interested in exploring. I might have missed it, but what MMO would you say the gameplay most closely resembles? Personally I'm not a fan of grinding, but I still think I'd check this out, because of the art and such.

The gameplay of Witch Gate is a lot like that of Lineage 2, You
have to build your toon but the game is small compared to Lineage
or WOW so you level fast. Thanks for all the kind words~

but can you even have instances with RC?

also did you try to make a super strong type of one enemy like the elite kind from WoW if you didn't and you are thinking about it try not to copywrite or any thing hehehe(couldn't help the hehehe)

also if you already said so sorry about that, and sorry if there are any spelling errors

so bye now

Sometimes Plant Life exports have their normals messed up, and the textures will not show. The texture is there, but the normals are facing in the wrong direction for you to see them. Here is a very small program called Normal Fixer. It's made specifically for Plant Life/Tree Magik models. I don't know who made it or even remember where I got it from, but it works. The operation of the program is pretty much self explanitory. Just place a copy of the model in a separate folder (just in case something goes wrong), open the program and point it to that folder and run it. It will search the folder for broken models and fix them. After the fix, the model and textures should work correctly. Then you can spice up this BEAUTIFUL game with lots of plants. Good luck with the rest of the game. Everything I've seen so far looks like a masterpiece!

For people looking for screenshots or videos of RealmCrafter games, you can see them here:

RC Screenshots at Realmcrafter.com

RC Videos at Realmcrafter.com

RC Main Page @ TGC

RC Videos @ TGC

...as you can see, RealmCrafter comes built-in with a lot of great features and content (though, IMHO, not nearly as good as Vicky's models). It currently uses the DirectX 7 engine, but a DirectX 9 upgrade is in-the-works (RC Pro).

I think a Mac version of Realmcrafter wouldve been good, in my experience, macs have a very good rendering efficiency and make great use of the graphics cards and processors efficiently, plus theyre overall great as a workstation, alas, no lol

still, vickys game looks awesome, i wonder if theres an exe to dmg converter on the net for when this is out

Hey Vickie. I just started using Truespace and I need help keeping the textures on the models. When I import the model(which I saved in.x format) into realm crafter, it just appears white. Do you know how I stop this. If possible, an explanation on the way you export your models to realm crafter whille keeping all color and texture on them would be great. thanks
