How do you do it Gunner? I have TRIED to upgrade to 1.13, 1.12, 1.09, 1.07, 1.05, 1.03, and even 1.02, only to be met by a hardy ERROR message.

I feel ashamed of myself.

... But how do you do it lol?

I'm only in my teens, not all that computer smart, but like this program. I love people like CP who give out free quality work, because I have no money for model packs (except 10). I'm trying to find the uninstall for FPS, and I can't even do that lol. It's nowhere to be found.

Yeah, me, Coffee, and Gunn3r are all in our teens as well. And we all have Vista. And we can all run the latest version. What an incredible set of coincidences.

Well, that is QUITE the set of coincidences. I'm so sorry that I don't have the computer knowledge to know how to run the latest FPS versions without having X9. I'll find out how to do it myself, thanks for the help though guys.

Sorry for the hijack CP.

Nope! I wanna stay around here, and bug you guys!

Bendak11: Make sure you download all 5 parts! And install everything from all 5, otherwise a lot of the stuff won't work.

Please note: This Set "replaces and expands" on my first sci-fi pack. This download sets up all the folders, and directories to make installation of the last 2 packs easier. when complete, the collection will be around twice the size it is now,but I won't have to add or change anything later. You'll be able to drop the next 2 packs into FPSC and everything will be the same, just add the new content in the exsisting folders.

Thanks.

Why? While I agree CP is an amazing modeler and very generous, why should he become a mod? People don't say "Hey mods make heltor\EAI\Jon a mod!" A mod requires being part of the forum for a long time, helping people and helping the community in general. They also must be responsible and willing to put their time in. No offense CP, you are most if not all of these things but dudemanking is getting on my nerves.

Well for starters, correct grammar is nice.

I have respect for people even if they are a complete douche, just as long as they are being a douche grammaticly correctly.

When I read a post that uses internet "l337" speak, or lack of punctuation/ capitalization, I already start judging them.

Bendak11: LOL! I've never heard of a Grammaticly correct Douche. Is that a douche that says "Thank You Madam", after it's been used?

That was a good one bro. I laughed my a.. off when I read that.

I personally don't know him, but from what I've read, I've decirned that he is one of our new younger members.

All we need to do, is be tolerant, and teach him the ropes, so to speak.

And Dudemanking, hang in there buddy, and be sure to listen to those who advise you, and take the time to read as many past threads as you can. The amount of knowlede, and good advise that is there, is astounding!

Every question you could ever think of asking, has already been asked, and answered. "There's Gold in them thar hills"!

Cosmic prophet, you deserve like an award, or immortality. something! this is amazing of you! thanks! can't wait to use them.

EDIT: Can someone tell where the problem is located if when I add a segment there is no texture? Is it with the texturebank or the files? like the fpe or something. thanks.

Can anyone help me? Thanks.

ok, i just deleted all of the pack and will try reinstalling it, if it doesn't work ill try that.

i uh, deleted the .dbo and .bin files once, but it prompted me to do it when i updated FPSC, how do i do it again?

EDIT: It still isn't working after reinstalling all the files. Could it be because i am making a folder in all the 'banks' called cosmic prophet that a texture path is broken? like i have:

Files/segments/Cosmic Prophet/...

should i just extract the files in the rar straight into their
respective banks?

EDIT: Does anyone have a tutorial for installing packs like this to FPSC? thanks.

Here are the instructions for installing the pack. It's in tutorial form, with screenshots. just follow the step by step, and your good to go!

download is here...

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=143026&b=24

Note: You Must download, and install "ALL 5 parts" for everything to work properly.

You cant just download the "2 entities parts", and "segments". You "NEED" the "textures", and the "Files" parts as well or you will run into problems!

Thanks.

Hey CP, I have been trying to use your doors, but whenever I place them in a level they are automatically open, except for the fake one.

i changed the scripts and everything to dooauto.fpi or doorremote.fpi but they still are open all the time. any help?

Hmmm. Not Sure. My doors are only retextures of the original Sci-fi Door. The .fpe just points to the original installed meshes, and the new textures.

Check your original sci-fi door_c and see if it works.

CP, I can't seem to download you packs, I keep getting this error:

The key you provided for file download was invalid. This is usually caused because the file is no longer stored on Mediafire. This occurs when the file is removed by the originating user or Mediafire.

Do you have them hosted anywhere else?

Edit: It's ok, I've downloaded them from FPS-Files. Have these been tried in X10? I'm going to try now...
