i am done with the judging and i hve to say those were two amazing entries it came very close but one person still won.
"Demon Sun": The ambience was amazing, it was creepy and unsettleing. the shaders also blew me away. it wasnt too brite but some times it was a little bit too dark. you had a bunch of light sources but most of the time there wasnt any light coming from them. sometimes i had to duck and i didnt get why. but even though the ambience was scary the level wasnt tht scary at all. you could usally always tell where the enemies were coming from and you didnt really hve any thing tht made me jump.
"Trait 17": It was quiet most of the time except for the occasional sound effect. the really only scary thing about the ambience was how dark it was. overall level design was good but some things didnt make any sense. i like the weapon selection choices (i found the shotgun
) i liked the telephone cutscene also. and i hve to admit alot of the enemies scared the crap outta me. the lighting was ok it wasnt the best ive seen but it certanly wasnt the worst. the lag broke my heart.
