Looks great, except the blood on the wall looks fake and cartoony and it looks like it's raised off the wall.

It is 100% created in X9.
If the lighting is bad, please tell me what to do to improve.

Edited. Now in jpeg.

next time The FPSC Rocks make the pisturea jpg. format and not a JPEG. format. You can do this by loading the picture in to MS Paint and saveing it as jpg.
Example: mypicture.jpeg ---> mypicture.jpg

Anyway about the picture...The thing I like is the textures of the segments...but thats about it ...The room is BIG and blank.Try to put some boxes under the crane, because you can use this big room as a warehouse...pust some decal paper on the floor, boxes, some pipes on the wall, maybe even level up the hafe of your room and sourond it whit some fence.
Just go crazy , it's future isn't it

Actually that image is a bmp he just added the jeg bit manually which made you think that when really its a bmp next time do it properly in MS paint.

Here is the screen as a jpg

First time took about half an hour and it was only 3x3 going up 5 floors with 8 static entities, 6 lights and 3 dynamic entities. It took long as I hadn't started it and there was quite a bit to load.

It took HALF AN HOUR...that's to much for just a small room.I advise that yo reduce the quality of lightning because no one will wait that long for a game to load.

I have a question The Next...Whil the overall loading time effect your final score ??? Because I would be veryhappy if it doesn't.
Reason:The score depends on the lightmaping and you have to wait a litl' longer if you want to have good light.

It doesnt effect the score at all.

I have a hugely immense pc:-
Windows Vista Home Premium, Intel Core 2 Duo 3.2 Ghz, 4GB DDR2 Sli Ready, 2x Nvidia 9600GT 1GB, 500GB Hard Drive

So would be unfair for me to rate loading times on that wouldnt it also i know what the engine is like with loading things.

LOL your computer owns mine:

1GB RAM
Vista Home Premium
512MB GeForce 8400 with DX10.1
Dual Core 2.4GHz

Perhaps that's why it takes so long to load...

BUT that is my dad's computer, I'm saving up for one with this:

4GB RAM
Vista Home Premium
51MB (or) 1GB 9600GT
Dual Core 2.6GHz

Lol that happened to me too, it was because I built too much of it and it said "Texture load timed out" and closed, that's why I decide to make new games. Try checking the path to the texture and compare it with the object which is screwing the game up, if it is wrong, that is why it is playing up.

You can't right now since Next has been banned for no stupid reason, so he cannot take any entries for now . Sorry about that, I'm basically his backup now since he trusts me (I think ). I'll ask him later.

NOBODY gets banned for no reason. He was banned for making non-constructive posts...

There is a sticky called "Important Announcement to ALL Forum members", which maybe some of you missed, it explains about what sort of posts are acceptable and what sort of posts are not...

I was not the mod that banned him but I agree with their decision 100%...

I'm also fairly certain that when you get banned you get informed of the reason for your ban so for someone to say they don't know why seems very odd to me.

Also this is not a topic open for discussion, any posts made after mine not relating to the competition will be deleted.

djmaster,

The whole X10-online team (admins and mods) are under backup for this while Next is banned, but I am taking better care of this board. So it is not cancelled.

Thraxas,
I don't believe that Next would make a non-constructive post, all of his posts have been comletely along with the rules and requirements

Nikogiant,
Sure, you can enter as an entry!

The FPS Rocks!,
No, not until Wednesday, he is banned by IP and user.

Good Luck to all the entrants (and me !)!
