I think I might be missing something here. I did what all the steps said, placed the code into the correct text file and what not (ak47) but it still dosent work?

Am I just being stupid or whats going on?

....airmod is included in many mods, and airmod itself. This question has been asked many times. It would help if you searched for a solution. BTW if you read the first post you would notice i dontr have airmod at the moment so i cant update or release any new ironsights for now.

Thanks, here's the Shorty, it was hard to do, because the recoil animation kept clipping it through the player camera:



If you want shotgun reloading as well, I made a semi-functional gunspec for it using the existing animation, here's the animation frames, sound will still need fixing though:

I can't get the iron sights to work, I followed the instructions but still got an error
I have ply's mod so I don't know what the problem is.

all guns,but i think it might be a problem with ply's mod, unless you've seen this sort of thing before.

That error is typically due to an incompatible version of FPSC with the Mod. Make sure you are using the correct version of FPSC that the Mod was designed for.

Well with the newest version of plysmod i believe you can use 1.15. WIth the older ones you need v1.07 - 1.09

EDIT: Try not to request MP 9,10 weaponary. That line of weaponary has been modelled on a slight slant and i wont bother with those, for you wont get a good effect. You could always fix it with fragMOTION for personal use

Go into the Gunspec.txt and clear the Scope = XXXX field...

Well I deleted everything from the gunspec folder that had anything to do with the zoom and nothing happend. Can anyone help me out? Sorry to nag.

On the root of the CQBR folder find the scope.dds or a dds that when opened appears to be a scope. Anyways once you find the right one with the hud rename it to something else. if that does not work than move it to another folder or delete it.

Woo Hoo! That worked, thanks Cyclone! That helped out alot!

So I figured out that we can use this script with pretty much any weapon, it just takes a bit of messing with the recoil and lag to make it fit to the gun. I have an edited (MODEL PACK 10) M107 Sniper script that applies lots of recoil but accuracy to the sniper to add a sense of realism upon trying to snipe. And another script for the (MODEL PACK 10)JSCS Breecher that will add the Iron Sight and a realistic amount of recoil to make it feel like your character is really shooting the Shotgun. If any one would like them, tell me and ill post them here!

Is there any way to remove the Crosshair once you go into Iron Sight mode? Because ive noticed that the gun goesnt completely line up with it once I use the iron sight.

Uhhhh no idea i just go with no crosshairs the whole time. Makes the player want to use the ironsights plus makes the game a whole more challenging

Another thing I'd like to point out, adding negative recoil to the Truncheon and Katana, or almost any melee weapon, will make it feel more natural...

Aaaah I never thought of that! That makes alot of sense! Ill have to add taht to the scripting to the melee weapons!



Oh one more thing that is concerning me. How do you make it so the iron sight is completely focused down the middle of the gun? Looking at Errant AI and some of his screen shots, all of his guns look straight down the sight. Any idea on how to do that? If not, its totally cool!

By adjusting the gunspec. Zoomy and zoomx or soemthing. PLay around with the commands. IT'll help you learn em and allow you to fix them up to your liking.

Exactly why i did not produce scripts for EVERY single gun and even made the community ironsight script thread. It was to see community members take initiative and attempt things like this by themselves.

...plus its easier for me
