Odd.

I will upload a new Beta with some cleaner code. No new features...just to test for stability.

EDIT: Released .6

I tidied up the thread a little bit so it can be focused on the Mod itself and not anything else.

Good Work so far Apple Slicer

Yes, that is an old bug. I may be able to somehow fix it, but I am worried that changing that function would make things hide much less....

will look into it.

This ain't merged with Wizmod anymore, is it?

Is there still that motion blur thing we talked about on MSN that one time?

Either way, I tried it, uncapped the framerate, and I think I got about 500fps. To reload the M249 it took me about half a second.

anyway, i built a game with the new version of apple juice (.6) and it wouldn't do it.
it got to level 2, saving and optimising universe, and BAM! it has encountered an error and needs to close.
But, i think it might be the level, as it is an old one (dead ship) and there may some missing media.

I have a strange bug when I build game: The weapon I used (akm of model pack 9) is... acting weird. In the first level, it works kinda fine, but it plays the wrong sound. It's the "when it hits the wall" sound when shooting. And when I get to second level, its animations don't work! Also, it still plays the wrong sound. Also, enemies don't see me, even if I go jumping straight in front of them and shoot them. Well, I don't know if it's about this mod, but well, I wanted to say it anyway, because I can't seem to be able to build game without this mod...

My username is finnish, and it translated to english is: "CrazyIdiot" or something.

I have and, well to be honest...what's the difference between it and .5?? Not being negative here didn't you say it was just cleaner codes? It ran excellent btw but I haven't tried building a game with it.

yup, it was .6, it think that it might of been my levels, seein as i hadn't tested them before, and they are very old. (custom media may have been lost) anyway, is there anything else you need us to bug-test? and when will you be able to integrate airmod?

I don't want to sound greedy or impatient but I'm just wondering is there an ETA for a beta with those awesome new features you've been mentioning?

ok, that's a good idea.
well, i've just added two zombies to the zombie survival game i'm making with your mod, (with respawns there will be 6) and i'll tell you how it goes.

on a more fun note, it's two-twenty five where you are? it's half eight (in the evening) where i am. (england)

wow! that's a big difference with time zones...
anyway, just played the level, and i have to sa it was absolutely brilliant! the frame rate went down to about 25, (which is good for my computer) with six zombies spawned! (and high textures and lightmaps!)
very good job, even if you didn't put airmod in, i would keep this mod, it's just to good.

Anyway. any things i should test?

oh, and this isn't related to the mod, but the zombies in my game are illuminated even when they're in the dark. is there a way i can make them un-seeable in the dark? (i am using dynamic lights...)

Not really sure about dynamic lights. Never use em.

Anyways, as for testing, just test EVERYTHING. seriously. All your levels, scripts, shaders. w/e/

I just need to know of any issue before moving on.

ok, "gasp" i'm going to try shaders... prepare for some serious lag...

right, first o fall, i'd like to say well done to you, apple slicer, although my framerate with shaders was 7 (unplayable...ish) it was much better than it normally is.

*BUG ALERT*
the zombies were see-through except for the arms, but it might be
a. my computer.
b. the fact that i edited the zombies in non-shader.
hang-on, i'll try it with the normal zombie.

Or at least better than stock?

lol.
for normall non-shader, the framerate is truly excellent.
even with six of bond1's zombies spawned, it runs at 25fps, miles better than stock fpsc. (about 3fps)
and with the shaders, turns out it was me editing the zombies.

so, after a test on v8, i see green lights acrsoss the board.
well done, apple slicer.

the only thing slowing down the shaders was errant ai's, oddly enough.

0.8? I'm still using 0.5!
I gotta get with the times lol

Gotta say Apple, this is great, It's a lot more fun now that i can make the levels as detailed as i like without constanty worrying about if it'll lag or not

It definitely makes the whole process more enjoyable!

Thanks so much for doing this!

it's absolutely ace, a godsend.
you know, if you added airmod, i honestly wouldn't be able to think of anything else to put in it, it's perfect.

Already have, liking the increased FPS cap
design a level well and you get absolutely no lag whatsoever, i love it!

The game i was working on before, Equinox, will fully feature this game, a lot more fun that i can add loads of minor details wthout killing the engine

Have you fixed the crashing with more than 2 levels in a build yet?

If not there's no rush on this end still, this game's a long way from being done

Again, godlike mod, thanks for doing it

I'll be quick and honest here.

Airmod. i have tried 3 times to get it working, but it just doenst want to work. i will keep trying, but this feature will take a while to get working.

3rd person-

Far more complex if you think about it. i can add some new script commands for you to get creative and try with, but again, this is a very large task.

I will do my best, and get what i can in.
