Hi! Here's a new screenshot from our big real time strategy game, called LastWorldWar (lww)
In this picture, there is a Mortalisk base (in the game, there are 3 teams called: Evolution (good), Mortalisk (very bad), Dartex (they are robots against the Evolution and the Mortalisk)
In this time the graphics are lower quality, but it will be better:
- day/night cycle
- real time or medium (dark ghosted plains) shadows
- above 90 units (30 in one team with high polygon number
- lots of explodes and a 3 dimensional, stunning atom bomb explode!
Maybe the beta verzion comes in october, and it is about 30/40 megabytes... :/

I really like that base. It has a lot of nice detail on it, although the terrain around it looks rather small right now

It's only a test map for faster developing.
Another RTS? Ok, ok We just started this project in this month...
We haven't got the full version off DBP, so we'll upload the demo later.

And this is the damaged base:

Hi! I'm coding the game and I'm modeling a team of the 3 teams.

We are modelling with 3DS MAX 5.0 and we use Adobe Photoshop to create the textures.

Of course, Every people can be a beta tester if they download the great size install program

We are making 10-11 units of the 3 teams, upgrade the Level editor and when it complete, we will upload a beta version for testing.

It maybe an illusion, they use high quality textures but cut down on polys onscreen etc. My advice make the logos more individual because the first two are very much alike in shape.

Cut down polys?
The bases are about 1500 polygons, and the moving units (no picture yet) about 900 + quality textures. Illusion? Why?

Logos: we think, these logos good. The Dartex team copy its units/style etc... from the other two teams.

It's about 30 FPS on my old machine (8MB integrated video card, 256 ram, 1 Ghz CPU) with medium matrix, high texture, high polygons, high shadows.
About 5000-6000 poly on the screen: two base from different teams, two generator, and the matrix + 1 large ghosted shadow per unit...

I think it's good with DBP...

I am texturing a robo soldier called "Solio", tomorrow I will upload, and It won't an illusion

logical...

But the polygon never upper than 100.000 on the screen, you can't see all the level with the camera...
The worst situation: about 10..15 buildings and 25..30 moving objects on the screen + any visual effect (smoke/explode/fire..)
I think it will run with min 10/15 FPS on the worst machines...
I played with Emperor - Battle for Dune (3D version, by Westwood) and it run with 17 FPS with the lowest details on may PC (config above)

by the way: you can rotate the camera 0-360 and zoom to see the fingers of the soldiers

I really don't see how this is a problem. Sure, if they all had the same colours and/or symbols, they might be confused, but the shape isn't much of a worry.

You don't go confusing England with Brazil because the flags are both rectangles, do you?

Anyway.... extremely cool looking game. Looks like it's up to the standard of a lot of commercial RTS's.

Current projects:
Adventure game for alienware comp (-2% complete: yes, I'm going backwards)
Untitled 2d racing/fighting game (approx. 4% complete)

I'm making an fps game and testet it with 90.000 poly's and got an fps of 29. the culling system in dbp doesn't works so great so you have to make you own system. I've heard there will be a new culling system in dbp patch 6 so that means higher fps with most games.
btw great job man
