With Mystic anything is possible

I can't answer any of that reliably with my PC I don't lag on anything at all I can fill the map with stuff and still have no trouble even with stock FPSC X10.

A FEW QUESTIONS TO BETA TESTERS

1. is this with basic floor nothing else?

2. whats it like with around 20 entities.

better still can you wet my appetite with some info"

FPSC X10 has never had an issue with having lots of entities really as it has GPU instancing... it nothing to have 30-50 enemies on a level at level start...

GPU instancing makes it so the cpu only provides entity details (such as size skin etc) once for a specific type of entity (IE enemy crate gun etc)... then the GPU handles rendering all entities of the same type all over the map in different positions etc...

Which it a big difference over X9 where every entity is handle by the cpu first then sent to gpu...

Yeah, this update is insane. Don't expect a release soon, though. Bugs galore. Budo's fixed nearly 10 bugs today, and I expect my inbox to be flooded next time I check it

It will, I may (hopefully) be getting some more free time soon, so that I can work on 1.0.4 and the other update.

Definitely. I'll put a temporary stop on the unannounced feature and start focusing again on 1.0.4, because I keep forgetting to work on it.

No, I haven't heard from him at all. Whatever, though.

well thats something not too far away. i just wanna unleash my new gcard on the large turf.
then i will have to think how to get a 2d concept into 3d without it being naff!
jumping for lanterns is easy and so is moving platforms and spikes etc. but the green budda guy and the kung fu part is gonna be a mind boggle. infact in the 2d 80s classic you could be the green budda guy. so multi player option there too.

anyway enough blah. just keep it up budo and you sick beta testers.

and have a great wknd.

Hi there i´m new at mystic mod thing =)
I need help, i download the Mystic-Mod Installer and try to install it but it crashes a the half and then my fpsc won´t start anymore... i must reinstall it and now i´m here. can someone please tell me what i can do? i need the mystic mod for my fpsc x10 that my game framerate will be faster.
here my PC:
I´ve got a Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E6850 @ 3.00 GHz, 3.00GHz
4,00 GB RAM
Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit system
I´ve got a NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT 512 MB RAM
My windows performance index:
Processor 6,3
RAM 6,3
Graphic 6,7
Graphic Games 6,7
primary hard disk 5,9
I´ve got all drivers up to date and i´ve got the fpsc x10 up to date
And is there a version of mystic mod that only makes the fpsc faster but not so many text in game and scripting commands and the cash hud and so on... i only want to make the fpsc x10 game faster...
thank you so much for your answer =)

You may need to re-install the mature patch it should leave Mystic Mod in place but ensure that the rag-doll is enabled if that doesn't work maybe Budokaiman can shed some light. Does this happen on all characters or only the zombie pack.

I'd say Mystic mod is already a stable release with new versions being added on top of that release it's not really a beta version i don't think.

Well, I'm glad that you were able to get it installed.

As for the ragdoll issue, I've heard of this happening, but I've never encountered it myself. I did change the source slightly, to automatically have ragdoll, no matter if you have the patch installed or no, so after next release, it should not happen. As for the time of next release, I don't know. I am working on some bug fixes right now.

Yeah i installed it =) It´s not a beta version? cool to hear!
You know i´m working on a commercial game wih my "crew". We are working hard in every
free minute we have. Can I use the Mystic Mod for commercial games? Cause our game will rock
and the mystic mod framerate and other features are sooo awesome! You will be in our credits and
everything.
Did i have blood and ragdolls if i install the mystic mod on an fps creator x 10 which is not the
mature 1.11. i mean the 1.11 (Teen) version?
The Mystic Mod is awesome, but i got a new question:
How can i delete the Cash Bank Hud? I don´t need this thing in my game. The second thing is, that
in the left down corner there is a Mystic Mod Text. How can i get this away? I mean ok you
will show that i´m using it but what if i put the mystic mod and your name and whatever you want
in the 3d animation intro from our game?
I will be so happy if my fpsc x10 will run with mystic mod, don´t show the cash hud, got ragdolls
and blood and didn´t show the mystic mod text. Can you help me with that?
I didn´t see a commercial game that is made with fps creator x10 and our game pushing the
Fpsc x10 to the edges and blowing all away.
I hope you can help me/us to live my/our dream and bring a game in the stores.
Sorry for the bad english =)
Thank you for your answers

Yes.

Not in the current version. In the current version, you will need the mature patch installed.

Quote: "How can i delete the Cash Bank Hud?"

Find the file:
C:\Users\UserName\Documents\FPSC X10 Files\languagebank\english\gamebank\mygame\setuplevel.fpi
and replace the text with:

Quote: "How can i get this away?"

It only appears in the test game, once you build your game, it will not appear.

I hope that all of that helps.

Hi X10 users,

Could one of you please post a list of the bug fixes and features which have now been implemented in the latest release?

When I first started reading this thread there were a bunch of things planned but I was wondering how far this mod has come along since then?

Thanks

Improved performance
etc.
etc.
etc.

Too much stuff for anyone to really remember has gone into this.

Quite an impressive list really you can't just expect things to be added budokaiman does not get paid for making this mod and does it in his free time.

If you ask very nicely he will most likely find time to work on anything but unlike Lee and paid developers this is comes last after any work/education that may need doing.

try to use only 1 or 2 different character types per level....

x10 uses GPU instancing to allow lots of character per level..

this means if you place 1 enemy on a level then make copies of the same character all over the level then you can have tons of characters... You'll have good performance... this is do to the fact the cpu only handles that enemy types info once and then the gpu renders all the other enemies of the same type..

..but if you have several different enemy types on the level at the same time you get a lot of slow down this happens in x9 as well.. this is cause by the cpu handling to many different types of enemy logic at the same time which hits the frame rate hard...

to get around this you need to be creative when placing enemies... use a trigger zone to spawn a group of different enemies as you approach a certain area of your level... once those enemies have been cleared, have your level designed to trigger the next group as the player approaches that area... and so forth so on threw out the level..

there are a couple of way to get around this issue... you can move you lights positioning a little to correct the way light map is created....

the other is adjust the lighting map quality in settings file... set it to 50 or higher to generate a better quality light map...

Make sure you run fps cleaner anytime you makes changes like that so it gets rid of the old Dbo and Bin files.... also try adjust the position of the light slightly... You'll just have to keep tweaking it to you get where your happy with it..
