I just downloaded and played the demo, and this is one of the best FPSC games I've seen in a while, probably THE best. You did a great job with this game, and made it a challenge, but not impossible. Very good job on the audio throughout the portions of the game I played, ex.: "Tango Down." And the gaurds talking in the stealth portion of the game.
You have talent, I can't wait to see how this game turns out, very nice job.

Hey MG could you possibly tell us how you had your character say "tango down" after each kill? I am having so much trouble finding a script or a line of code for that. Thanks!

Make the character's death sound "Tango Down!" and that should be it. Am I right?

A great, great, GREAT Demo!

Enjoyed it very much. Dense Atmosphere, nice design.

If it was a full-lenght game, I`d say polish it up, improve some of the arkward things and then put it on shelves all over the land.

Come to where the madness is:

MY review

Full Game Review

Time of play (Start to end)
29 minutes 54 seconds(30 minutes)

Graphical
At the first level, i was amazed, all was done proffesionaly, and shaders gave it an unique look, the custom media was really cooltoo
when we got further, the space ship, the theatre or whatever, and hte rest, it all went wrong, i could see texture glitches all over the place, some non ligthsource lights, segments out of the place, and some entity bugs

6/10

Ai
I tought it was pretty smart, Tf314 or that, was pretty amazing, but i would have like to fight with them, rather than killing one with no deffense, and following another( i shot him anyway, im a naughty boy )

Rating: 9/10

2D art
I think it was one of the best of the forum, really cool presented huds, and the main menu was to kill myself, IT WAS GORGEUS, and i saw myself in the credits
I also loved the loading times, you could change the bar tough

Rating: 10/10

Story
Was nice, had some "Clichès" but not big deal

8/10

Audio
One of the best audio i seen in a while, i loved how the music played in the "tense" situations

10/10

Gameplay
Well, this point is the best one of all, as i actually had it difficult getting into the last level
but really, i loved it, the thing i loved hte most was that when i was 90 or something lower i started to shake and i got less accuarate, nice detail, huh?

10/10

Final Rating

10/10

Botb for sure, but that depends on "Thraxas"
(of course, i dont know why, but i always want all fpsc games to get botb, i want that too )

Quote: "but after clicking download, it kept taking me to some "Penny Stock""

Did you click the smallest button on the corner?

But I played it to lvl 8. Why? Well, I'll get to that later, but:

The game started of great. Heath kits were given just right, enough to keep you alive, but not too much make you a god. In the start. And the start, teh level design was nice, but the metal crates there, with the fancy shaders, were light blue, but when I look at them in hte right angle, they look brown... And towards the end, like... level before the meeting the president, it went from challenging to punishing. I saw no heath kits anymore, there was alot of enemies, and if I die, I respawn, with 2 heath points, becouse... well, I don't really know, but it annoyed me, trying to get trought the 6th and 8th level trought with 2 health points. I was expecting to spawn with full health, then I would have understood not giving health packs, but I didn't. But that's not the reason I stopped playing. It gave me an error after the 5th time going to a Game Over. So I couldn't continue anymore. If I clicked Load Game and loaded from where I saevd, it just threw me back to the Vinshu Packer screen, if I click New Game, it threw me back there with an error message. It has potential to be a BOTB game, but there is some things in it, that need to be improved. Not graphically, graphically it was awesome! And the level design was good and gameplay fun. But the health hting... I don't think I can suck that bad (and I didn't want to cheat trought the game. altho I tried one or two times, but the enemies still killed me) on this... can I? And I think some enemies took too much damage. The soldiers in the iron suits were easier to kill, than the gasmask guys...

My Review:

Graphics: There was some normal mapping errors on the boxes.

9/10

AI: Sometimes they just looked at me and didn't attack then 10 minutes later they shot me xD

9/10

2D Art: I thought the snow blizzard thing was cool and the parachute people. Also how did you get that helicopter to fly by?

10/10

Story: Thought the story was nice and well done...

10/10

Audio:I liked the voice acting and all the other audio things nicely done. I also liked the exuberant action music!

10/10

Gameplay:The game ran pretty smooth but sometimes I fell through the map or when I was in the pipes I lagged and appeared on to of the map. Sometimes I got stuck and somethimes when I crouched the game when to like 4-5 FPS.

9/10

Final rating: 9.5/10

I would recommend this for BOTB...

Also some other things I really liked the thing where the guy was in the chair typing and when I shot of he had a chair death animation

Another funny thing was that Rick Roll was the president!!!

Well downloading now; though I suspect that I'm only the 17th person (according to that page) to download it, because of their disgusting way they try to get you to check out other items that are unrelated.

At any rate, I'll check it out.

One of my problems, is that I forget to save in FPSC games. Becouse I am so used to FPSC games just being zombie shooters, and zombie shooters are not usually that hard, I just... go trought the levels without saving. So my failure was partly becouse I underrastimated your game :-P

Good game! I think the Clue with the AI is that you have to take cover, you dont run & Gun in real life, so you woudlt here, to bad it hase beenc hanged, due it gave a chelleging aspect to the game..

anyhow a 4/5, because i'm confident that we can pull more out of FPSC than Virus 2, wich is a Groundbreaking game with almost no lagg!

FTW!

You definitley cannot run and gun in this game, which is something I prefer. I didn't complete the game, but you can in fact 'peek' behind corners and kill the enemy without getting hit. This was fun! I don't do numbers, or percentages, but this was a well made, and fun game. Good work.
