anything which is listed (or says in the tech specs) as AM3,

Phenom II 955 is (probably) the lowest black edition, and should be great,

remember to shop around, usually Google shopping is fine, the prices you listed are probably a tad overpriced

can someone check for the tech specs if it's all AM3 (or compatible)?
Also is this everything I need for my desktop or am I missing something out??

You will need a motherboard , as for other compatibility. You need a AM3 socket motherboard with dual channel DDR3 with a pci-e x16 slot(any motherboard will all most certainly have this). I suggest you get some slower ram, 1300mhz should be good, i say this because it will make the motherboard much cheaper. I have to go now but ill help look for a motherboard when i come back

yeah, it even comes with USB3.0, which should be awesome when it gets cheaper

I think your about ready, but, like last time, wait for a real expert to confirm it

Quick note, the RAM you have mentioned will run slower then it can in that motherboard as it is 1600Mhz RAM and the motherboard only support up to 1333Mhz. It will work but it could be cheaper to just buy 1333Mhz ram.
