I've made a few changes to the Barrett. It's not perfect yet. The arm is still far too bright, and the 'to-scope' animation isn't right yet, but I've done a small retexture in places and got it shader ready, using a modified version of the phong_bump_specular shader.

Anyway, here it is (in my Black Ops torture chamber scene).

Just so you all know, I hope to release another weapon as a part of this pack, a CheyTac Intervention (that you can't quickscope with, so don't try.) Arseny is rigging it for me and, although I don't wish to blow my own trumpet, it does look quite good.



I have simplified the stock a bit as trying to model that was like trying to unravel the mystery of the universe. You won't see it in-game anyway.

That Intervention (and most new weapons) uses the phong_bump_specular shader by Creator of Zombies. For the Intervention, I modified it slightly, but in terms of the basic functions of the shader, it's the same.

Listen up, comrades!
I've come back, and now I have free time, so that's my plan for today:
- Reanimate ALL weapons, and fix glitches on their textures, or maybe rewrap something, because, I've tired of negative comments about the guns.
- Animate TPEG's Intervention
- Add to the "misc" some entities, that were made by me, but not were included in the pack.
If all goes well, I will share it, and post it in this thread.
Fingers on the right hand(which holds the gun) will have a full skeleton too(with all fingers), that lets you rig and animate bolt-action rifles.

Hi Cosmic! I am having a small issue with Gencheff's pill box. I can't seem to get inside from the door way. I get in a bit and then get stuck and it throws me backwards. Is there anyway I can fix this?

Soviet176: Sure, I've had good luck with this sort of thing by converting the model to a segment. use the fpsc seg app from the main site.

Alternately, make sure the entity is static, dynamic entities use a different collision type.

I haven't been on FPSC a lot lately so I somehow missed the realease of the pack

Just checkt the contents and have to say, that its incredibly divers and usefull stuff. Your "Wolfenstein" characters will go nice with the Wastelanders p.e.

Arseny, I was going to email you about this, but in the interest of transparency I'll post it here.

That zip I sent had all the textures in for the stuff to work, but I've rigged it and the normal doesn't appear on the weapon, only the hands normal, probably because the shader is designed to use the gun_N map on the whole rig, rather than each element. As you've finished all your exams (and mine are only just starting) could you fix that too, if you get time?

You can upload it straight to the forum then, and just credit me for the model and the textures.

I've been playing around with wehtam's towers (which look the dog's proverbials btw!), I managed to get them showing up correctly, by leaving the shaders field blank in the fpe file. Now I have a collision issue; I have the tower entities set as static, but I get stuck halfway along the bridge section. Is there anyway I can overcome this problem?

Please don't take this as a criticism, It's not, the towers look great, I would just like some advice please

Nothing is wrong, its just that FPS-Media is offline ATM. Blackfox and Bluefox and doing site-renovation or merging companies or something. You dont need to go there anyways, its just another download mirror, just use the mediafire links

I'm back . . . Its been an awesome pack. I've run into a few minor things and thought I'd go to the forums
-I've done the gun sound thing, but what about the little hud icon on the top right of the screen. For most of the guns its just a black square.
-The China Lake crashes Fpsc whenever I set it as starting wep. Apart from that I can pick it up but it doesnt show or anything
-I Cant pick up the Famas
-The Kriss is black, and when I right click it goes into this repeating wierd animation

I'm kind of a noob, so I wouldn't know how to fix these things. Trust me, if I knew how I'd do it myself. I Noticed in the gun readme's it mentions about recopying, but I dont really understand that.

Its not a big issue, but it would really help if I could fix these because the guns to me are a really important part of the pack.

It means a HUD Icon wasnt included when the weapon was created. Youll just have to manually create one (by importing the weapon into some program and taking a screenshot).

As for the others, I dont know... Havent downloaded this pack yet

So that is how they make the HUDs? hahaha. In that case, if someone makes a list of all of the weapons that dont have HUDs, then I will download those guns and make HUDs for them.

I havent looked back at this thread for a while otherwise I would have been quicker to post. The guns without hud icons are:

-1911
-AK-47, AK-47u and AK-47u Wolf
-AUG plain and snow
-CZ85
-DEAGLE
-G36
-M14
-SCAR
-SPAS 12

The famas, UMP, Kriss and China Lake dont seem to work. The Barret and Remington are the only ones with hud icons.

If you could make hud icons for those guns it would be brilliant. I was kind of disappointed when there were no icons but whatever.

Hey vent how exactly do I work a rar file? I've downloaded it from your link and then what do I do? I cant open it and I'm just not sure.

This exerpt is from the license file for the weapons. Simply stated, cause this is making me dizzy, what is that saying? We can't build the game with the sounds in it but we can copy and paste them? Is this saying that it is for non-commercial use exclusively or what?

If you add your own sounds ( you can find many online that are freely distributable) you can use the weapons any way you like.

If you use the sounds from TGC you must follow the restrictions of they're license.

Thanks. I think I got it. So you guys used sounds by The Game Creators but we cannot use them because we didn't buy them, correct. Anyway, thanks and excellent work to all of the contributors.

you may use any sounds that come with FPSC however you please in a built game, however you may not redistribute them. That is why there are no sounds that belong to TGC in the pack. However you may still use them, just not give them out.

Your signature has been erased by a mod please reduce it to no larger than 600 x 120.

You may be confused here. FPS-Files was a separate site; the link you posted was to our old site (FPS-Media). We don't own the domains- they were released last year. Any links you clicked that had hacker links were certainly not related to us.
