I don't really have a single favorite, but I thoroughly enjoy Vanilla Coke, Cherry Coke, Pepsi, Coke, Birch Beer, A&W Root Beer, Stewart's Root Beer, and Sprite.

I find the whole "diet" soda thing hilarious. "I'll have a triple-decker cheese burger with extra bacon, supersize fries and a vat of lard please... oh and a diet coke."

I like appletizer although I rarely drink fizzy drinks, I don't know why we say fizzy drinks in the UK, why don't we just say soda?

Dr Pepper.

Out of Colas, Pepsi all the way. Virgin cola was good but it seems they don't make it anymore.

Quote: "

Actually, there's

Pepsi Max
Coke Zero
Diet Pepsi
and Diet Coke...I'm not even kidding. I've yet to work out why they're different other than the marketing. They taste the same and have no sugar.

Perhaps you Swedes are less likely to fool for marketing ploys?

From what I see from marketing:

Pepsi Max & Coke Zero = For men
Diet Pepsi & Diet Coke = For women

Either that or they pump one with testosterone and the other oestrogen.

I dunno, perhaps you should ask her.

But yeah, actually marketing can be incredibly sexist: "Yorkie not for girls", "Galaxy, great for a girls' night in" (the foil is now pink too) when it's all bloody chocolate at the end of the day. I eat Galaxy, so there you go, I also buy cosmetics from Lush, break the system! Kick down the doors of oppression with rainbows and pony power? That's something you'd say, right?

I'd drink diet Pepsi too if it wasn't so disgusting XD

I'm sleep drunk, ignore me.

Cherry Dr. Pepper, Dr. Pepper, Cherry Coke, Coke Zero

In that order.

And good god. When whoever mentioned diet sodas being a futile attempt at health mentioned it, it reminded me of a few years ago when I was the head for a team debating to allow soda in school. Both sides were kids, and I'm smart enough to be taken seriously here, so obviously I won. People drink Coca- Cola freely now, I feel like a hero.

And I don't know how on topic this is, but I don't understand why people don't want soda in schools, it helps the school budget a ton, especially in a recession, and these kids are going home to coke anyway, so why make them drink crappy milk instead? It won't make em healthy. >:l

Lol at least here in America we have Diet Pepsi and Diet Coke, though i do think elsewhere they are called light, not diet.

That's funny. But i genuinely am not on a diet, i just prefer the taste; regular Pepsi is NASTY!

Yeah, I'm kidding...

Anyway, didn't anyone notice how most of these are owned by the coca cola company anyway?

And seriously? How do you guys manage to pump so much sugar in you?

What gets me going is when people have to buy clothing with a brand name or logo prominently displayed on it because that's what the commercials told them they're supposed to wear. They pay extra for it because of the name or logo, and then they freely advertise for the company as well. The reason this bothers me is that I haven't figured out how to take advantage of it yet.

Diet pop never tastes as good, EVER!

Bubba Cola isn't bad and it's only half the price of most other drinks.

Since I can't seem to find Jolt cola anymore, mountain dew is my choice with the occasional 'mexico' coke (made with cane sugar).

Yep. They take a lot of our money. Dr Pepper rules.

I don't. I'd hate to put myself at risk for diabetes. I love Dr Pepper, but I drink lots of water too and tea...though I do have 3 sugars in my tea, but is probably nothing compared to DP.

Same here. All these fancy softdrinks wherent here around 30 - 40 years ago and people did not consume them on a regular basis. We do not actually know how this constant jugging down of moderndays fast food will effect our body when we are older.

Water is the most important nourishment anyway.

I use to drink root beer all the time, but then I got addicted to mountain dew in college. Maybe I should switch back, as that might help my case of insomnia a bit.

Oh wait... my favorite as a kid was Mellow Yellow. Anyone remember that? I think it's still being made, but I can't find it anywhere local

Sprite would be my favorite soda. Sierra Mist being a close second. Then I would have to say Root Beer and Dr. Pepper. I like any soda pretty much though.

Quote: "I find the whole "diet" soda thing hilarious. "I'll have a triple-decker cheese burger with extra bacon, supersize fries and a vat of lard please... oh and a diet coke."

I've never understood why anyone thinks this is funny yet I hear it all the time. I don't think I've ever met a person who orders a diet soda because they are actually on a diet. Diet Coke and Coca-Cola taste very different from each other. Diet Coke's name should just be changed to "Better Coke."

Totally! But Pepsi is better

List of sodas i like from not as much to i really like:
Coca Cola
Diet Coke
Pepsi
Sierra Mist
Diet Pepsi

Non-Carbonated Beverage:

Kerns Mango Nectar

Carbonated:

Grape/Orange/Cherry soda, I have no preference on brand.

In regards to the first post:

To be honest coke and Pepsi just taste of the same

In regards to Dr. Pepper

It's gross, it tastes like flat Pepsi/Coke that was crudely re-carbonated.

In regards to my choice:

I choose juice over soda 9/10 times, not because of health, but taste

I really like the regular Dr. Pepper. And mind you, I really like it and not just because of all the hype surrounding it. I usually do not get pushed to like something I really do not like. Then when it comes to regular soda, I would have to say rooter with some ice cream on top of it would be my pick, add to that a scoop of chocolate syrup. That has got to be the good life, minus the diabetes.

If your used to standard coke, then diet coke will probably taste horrible, but if you haven't tainted yourself with sugary drinks, then diet coke is pretty good.

I only drink diet soda, and you get used to it pretty quickly when you have to. I find it funny when people just don't understand it, as if anyone drinking diet soda should be on a diet. 1 in 30 people on this planet are diabetic, and that number is rising - might even say that all the sugar in standard soda is not helping that statistic. People are too quick to throw sugar and chemicals down their throat.

Unfortunately, there isn't a great deal of choice of diet and sugar free soda in Scotland, it's either diet coke, or diet Irn Bru. I'd love to see diet ginger beer, root beer etc, dandelion and burdock. Diet Dr.Pepper tastes like medical waste. I'd have to say my favorite soft drink is Ginger Beer, but maybe just because I rarely get to drink it.

Funny how people also think diabetics became diabetic by eating unhealthy amounts of sugary foods. I am a type 1 Diabetic and I never used to stuff my face with sugar, the doctors didn't even know why I became diabetic.

I prefer Pepsi Max or Diet Pepsi for one of two reasons: It doesn't leave your teeth feeling like they have had an acid bath and two, they taste 100 times better than the normal types with sugar.

Coke and Pepsi do not taste the same and coke isn't even nice compared to pepsi.

Yup, type 1 myself. Type 2 diabetes is caused by diet. They say that type 1's are most likely hereditory from the mothers side.

One more reason to hate my mom

But on a serious note, I am a hardcore Dr. Pepper drinker. When I was a kid I got Dr. Pepper because every soda tasted the same to me back then, and they had the neat little cone bottles that I loved:

And now that my... taste buds?... have developed?... I guess I'm just used to Dr. Pepper.
