That was such a beautiful thread...and having seen that...how can anyone think the forums are going downhill?

I consider it a sign the forums are on their way to success when mods start building box forts out of locked threads..

yes indeed it was funny, but it surely isnt right in any aspect, in my opinion, i think if a thread is locked then it should be locked, unless mods have any opinions on the topic or why it was locked then it should stay closed, that was the thread i was hinting towards in myearlier post

and for the record, I am a man.

Exactly! I hope that if/when this thread gets locked it becomes another box fort, except maybe make it out of stone this time.

Gosh it's just so wrong that mods post in a locked thread! It's immoral, cruel, and downright offensive! /sarcasm

Really guys? They are Moderators. They absolutely should have the right to add a post to a locked thread. It's pretty stupid to say they shouldn't.

You don't have to unlock a topic to post in it, but like I said before, how often does that happen?

Like Xplosys said, these things happen in waves.

These forums are indeed extremely clean. The rules are very strict, there are no exceptions. And I'm speaking from experience here

I think it's because new people are usually young teenagers (or sometimes even younger), and if you think about todays kids... It kind of explains why there is a lot of junk. But there is still a lot of useful stuff and fun threads.

I agree. I looked back at when I joined, and I posted like 4 threads a week. Now I post threads when I feel it's important enough to make it into the red folder area. That's my mental guideline now.

I have a good mix of junk threads over the years. I think the Pony thread just surpassed my old Izolis thread, so 's nice.

Hey, it was more of a Batman overall thread. And I could rant about batman enough to fill a page.

...I chose not to.

There is no PERSON on earth that is liked by everyone... So of course there hasn't been a mod that has been liked by every one. However, with that said, if I was a mod... I would clearly be loved by everyone.

Except more realistically, I'd probably be hated lol. Wouldn't be surprised if I already was... I love to be a part of flame wars and making people mad.
Which is, in turn, funny because I'm trying this donation thing hahaha.

I dunno, I don't remember anyone ever saying a bad word about TDK back when he was around I don't think he hung out anywhere other that DarkBasic talk much though.

Personally I really like these forums (Even if sometimes I think I act like the resident dickhead ). There's just something very slick and involving about them that you don't get with other forums. I guess it's because Geek Culture isn't treated like an off topic free for all like some forums would, the threads have to be quality to be allowed.

Well, except that pony thread, but the least said about that the better

HE STARTED IT *point*

And yeah, when you realize you like ponies, you've been set free man. I feel like the Double Rainbow guy, mixed with a double rainbow, mixed with the cheeseburger cat everybody's seen, mixed with the summer of 69. Love and tolerance.

I have so far resisted all temptation to look at the pony thread. Surely a quick peek wouldn't hurt, or would it? I'm still agonising over the big decision.

Why don't you treat us like one of yooou.

EDIT: And Coffee's mention was on topic, saying that the forum is peaceful except for your insulting of bronies. Then the discussion started when Insert Name Here did what Grunt was talking about, insulting bronies.

And suddenly Wolf appeared and wondered what bronies actually are.

Brown Ponys?
Small Brownies?

Is it another paradoxon like Jumbo Shrimp or Military Intelligence?

I don't get it but that might be because I am Lurr, ruler of the planet omeacron persei 8.

I'd say Keith didn't give it enough of a chance, but I won't

It's not going to hurt you really though. Just watch 4... find yourself watching the rest, then be embersed in a unique culture. Funny how people can think PONIES can be harmful

I'm positive Indicinduim (or however you spell that ) is hiding that he watches MLP though. He poked at our thread and watched a little... then watched a bit more and suddenly he's downing the ponies. So his harsh threat meant nothing

Just look how innocent they are...

The forum has just had some newcomers not understanding rules lately.... I think she's doing fine.
