Marco - you Italian charmer!

According to this Wiki entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robin_(name)
Robin means "fame."

That's something AL deserves for her huge supportive efforts for this community.

Cynthia comes from the Greek Kynthia (Goddess of the moon), so also apt because she is definitely Goddess of the Forum.

In ten days time I will be in Greece, and I will pour a little wine on the ground, as was the custom, in her honour. I have been to the island of Delos, where Kynthia was (allegedly) born. It is beautiful, as we would expect.

Thanks for the badge. Ive drifted away from the TGC Forums over the years and come back a couple times over the years, last time they didn't even have badges, cool idea!

I haven't got my badge yet either. Not a big deal though. But it would be nice to have one.

Edit: Got my badge now. Yay.

If you are missing a badge, please email me direct and I'll sort it out. Send me full name, forum name (in most cases I don't know how to match people's names with their forum names) and how you pledged (KS or Paypal).

Speaking of badges, I vote for giving "Markus" some sort of acknowledgement by badgery (teehee). Seems like most of his time is spent helping other on this forum

I pledged through TGC's web site rather than Kickstarter, do I have to notify as well? Or will I get my badge in due course?

Question - Is there any deadline to have the email sent in?

Just curious as I might be working offline for the next week or two.

I sent my badge request for AppGameKit Kickstarter (pledged $37).

BTW, I am possibly one of the oldest TGC members around (before TGC even existed and well before my newer 2008 forum join date shows - i'm also known as mfelker and karmacomposer over the years).

I own pretty much EVERYTHING TGC. Dark Basic/Pro, FPSC/X10 and a backer for reloaded, pretty much ALL expanions and model packs, 3DWS and all versions before it, etc.

I have created numerous programs using Dark Basic/Pro and will be developing using AppGameKit from now on.

I'm just not very verbose on posting everything I do on the forums.

What badges do I qualify for??? It's very juvenile, I know, but hey, even at 45 I like recognition.

Besides, I spent enough over the years to earn some stinkin badges (lol).

Mike

Khm. Usually I'm humble, but why some people here have the "Agk Backer" title under their forum name, while I'm still simply a "User". If I have to deliver more to community to get this achievement, I'm more than willing

tornado, if you are logged in, you should see an 'edit' button under your name (on one of your posts). Click that, and you can choose which of your available badges you want displayed (along with the badge name)...

I upgraded my pledge a while ago (a few weeks at least) to bronze backer and sent a request for a badge upgrade, but I've still only got the regular badge. I'm just posting this here, in hopes to get my badge upgraded, cheers.

Why should anyone know if I've supported AppGameKit V2 or not.

Would a badge make me a better person, or more respected, or whatever.

I love that the opt-out is automatic, however.

Cheers,

I think that the idea of the badges is so that people can show their support for the product. Other badges are awarded to people to mark the achievements they have shared with the community and hopefully to gain them a little respect when they try to help other people on the forum.

As you suggested it's a personal preference in this case but if someone was awarded a badge they didn't want to share we would be happy to remove it from their profile.

It's not like giving a 5 year old a gold star for their spelling, it's a mark of respect and thanks from TGC for continued support of their product.

I suspect we will not get anything of the promised items like command sheets, t-shirts and whatnot, as usual, or at least extremely late. But that does not matter, as long as we get AppGameKit v2 eventually.
