of course it's supposed to be a mirror, but is it really a mirror, or did the photographer just modify it to look like it.
It'd be very difficult to get the angles perfect. Much easier to just Photoshop it.

A folding plug? This is a great piece of design.

This is brilliant! I wish we had these plugs instead of old Euro plugs.

That plug is designed on the UK three pin plug, the two lower pins twist side ways... Clever design but probably will not be so retrofitting able and adding a large cost to the price tag of anything it gets put on...

But I like it, however I do not see this solving any immediate problems aside from storage... Or allowing a hoover which retracts the power cord into itself, still never been an issue as far as I can think...

I don't see why not, it could be wired up to anything like a standard plug.

Quote: "adding a large cost to the price tag of anything it gets put on..."

They're being sold for £25! Quite a lot for a plug (a normal plug is about £2) but that's probably because they are not very popular. I could see this being nice if you travel a lot. I like this image:

Yes, that is three folded plugs plugged into an adapter. Amazing that the whole array is barely larger than a single standard plug.

Quote: "I do not see this solving any immediate problems aside from storage"

That's the only problem it's trying to solve.

I do not see switching to renewable energy solving any immediate problems aside from reducing our global CO2 output and providing us with an independence from fossil fuels.

How about some classy gifs? These are being called "cinemagraphs". I am currently trying to work out how to use one as my desktop backdrop.

I think feh has an option to change the bg every n seconds. So if you split the cinemagraph into multiple, separate frame files and place in one folder, it may work.
Alternative is to look into boiling one up using X's API but I wouldn't know where to point you there. Good luck.

Check this out. A multi-platform IDE that supports writing native OS X, iOS, Android and Windows apps, all in C#!

http://xamarin.com

It's based off of MonoDevelop, I think.
