Interesting! I am actually not very familiar with how other free mobile games do this. I probably should investigate.
I hear adding a small pricetag often makes people skip a game completely unless there is some real buzz for it.
I was thinking releasing two versions of my game, one paid without ads and one free with some ads.

I have no idea what counts as having watched the ad though, as I clearly did see your ads in version 0.2 .

There is 3 types of adds..
Banner the more comon that gives extremely small amounts.
There is reward adds that gives better to you but only little more that i use in the store where it says free +200 gold

And there is fullscreen adds you can set at boot etc i have not tested because they piss even me off when games have them
Everything is explained in the agk help file how to use them.
If you have any problems simply ask here
Reward adds have commands to see if there is one aviable and if the user have watched it in agk.
So you only reward users that actually watches it.

Keep in mind that goggle only accepts that you have one single adsense account.....................................
Even if you can create new accounts with goggle and set more then one up..
will only accept to payout to your first account created......

Thanks gar i have taken a oneday break from the Project as i hit a workoverflow wall this weekend
Trying so much on my own
But want to keep my first Project for myself to get it going.
Before looking for help with apps
Have Contact with talented pixelartists to buy from later on...
Will take off some workload.
Are working on a randomizing system for the maps so its a bit varied in design each time you might play a map but still not to weird.
I forgott to mention to everyone that i uploaded alfa 0.4 already on friday but have bin a bit tired ....

@3:15 into your last video, you don't see the back wall until you are closer. Maybe a slightly longer draw distance for the camera would fix this for bigger rooms? Or otherwise add a fog with a bit of range so it doesn't look like a harsh change when the back walls show up so much?

Anyway, I will download the new version and give some feedback from playing very soon. I do like where this game is going!

Just downloaded and played a bit. Are all dead bodies supposed to be 'searchable' for loot? In level 2 I had two bodies die very close to doors and those bodies never showed the 'search' feature. This might be a bug?

From playing some more, I think I would like it if there is a text to confirm a key was picked up or maybe a text and a sprite of what was picked up? I like how searching a body gives you a very obvious result; you find nothing or you find ammo, but are always told what it was. I think it could be better for the experience if keys would work the same.

Anyway, will play some more tomorrow, but it's getting late here.

Dead boodie loot is completely random and why not all bodies are searchable
Users would have no reason to watch any adds or try to find secrets with goold loot if they constantly find loot

You mean when i show my performance settings in the video.
This is visible when the fog is off etc..
And render distance will be a setting in the settings page ..
This way can users self decide to go all in on old school look or my default
My default settings are more or less a default to fit lowend and highend devices on mobiles.
have not had the time to add it as we have terrible weather here so i had to jump in on evening and night shifts with only a few hours tto spare.

Will put that in as its very simple for all pickups this weekend ...
If i dont completely sleep it away
Iam very tired as i type this so sorry for any miss spelling and stuff

Added so only enemys with loot is on screen after Death.
added popup text for all pickups and even other things when you are Close to the blackmarket etc if you play without sound..
Added the edit function for render distance.
will be in update 0.8 this weekend..
Want to add some more maps before i upload
Have to sleep for a feew hours now Before work again ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzz

Cool good job on the key remapping too. By the way, can you add a text that explains the options? Some of the icons might not instantly reveal their purpose? I know people can try and just experience what it does, but it might be useful to give some more clues on what the options icons / buttons do exactly.

Hi and sorry for not responding earlier..
will look in to it phemox

Have had my hands full at work...
But managed to do Another update and is a bit bigger....
I might nead someone to do a small intro animation and end animation?
Josh moondog
But nead to know wath you would want in money for it?

beta 1.0
now 20 maps.
more fx.
mini map added

I havent decided if it should be a purchase in the store or a constant one so far ?
And if it should mapp out while you walk around ?
The mini map is created by the editor to save some cycles ingame..
So its a simple image.

Nead as many as possible to download and test it
Dont worry i do not become a millioner on it
so far earned 0.08 cents since its launch on all adds

Goggle play is a bit slow to update so be sure you download beta 1.0

Maybe you've already caught this, but it seems there's a slight bug showing question marks at a certain door in level 1? It then continues to pop up with question marks. See the screenshot I've added for mini map location;

I like how the exploding barrels also shake the camera and drop dirt from the ceiling. Very effective. I do think the range of damage to the player from those explosions could be a little bigger, but maybe it's good the way it is now. It does make sense.

Good to see this game coming along nicely man.

How many off you would actually make a game if i made pixelstein Engine open source ?
And credit me for the work i have done

This mean open source as it is with messy code and Everything
I will not have the time o give support but would love to see that everyone that uses it shares its improvements with each other...

Only some thoughts i have ??
Maybe some type of paypal donation if you like it and uses it ..

This is with level editor and its complete Engine..

Thanks Richard..
development is slow.
Pretty much that this Project takes alot of time but not that popular wath i can see in downloads.
So pretty much in thoughts of shortening it and ending development of it..
Iam doing this to try to find a way to earn some cash so Projects like this seam to be to expensive in work hours and investments compared to wath i earn on it.
My small one day to 1 week Projects earns me more Money then then Projects like this. .
I might pick it up more later on ..
But first will i make some kind of end to it

Cliff unless you specifically are only interested in mobile games maybe consider selling the game on GameJolt and itch.io I don't know how much you are making from ads on mobile but seems possible that you could make more on GameJolt and Itch by selling it for $2.99 or so.

To me this kind of game seems like it would play much better and be more popular as a desktop build. You could even offer mouse look for the people who prefer that. You'd have a lot more freedom on desktop to provide options for controls and such including configurable keys (defaulting to the standard for this kind of game of course).

Just throwing that out there as something to consider.

i never checked game jolt or itch io as i recently got back in to programing
But Think i have to check somethong else then Android later on..
Have earned only 4 $ on adds now in 3 months
I spend more on media and Tools during this time
But during this time did i earn 100 £ on one of the apps by Selling its source code
My problem is that the entire Engine is optimized for mobiles

I missed that this got loocked
Only wanted to tell that its out of beta stage and will be updated during its up with more maps and features.
It also means you can rate it if you want.

Good ratings only motivates me to build on the game more….

Iam restructuring how i a, developing to focus more on a selected amount of apps.

I seam to spend less and less time in the forums nowdays
But i pretty much use the little time i have with catering the install base i have and doing small updates and such.
Iam pretty happy for now with pixelsteins performance on android after a year in review.

11 reviews and over 700 downloads so far.

Its extremely slow to get noticed and to see downloads take affect.

I do check the forums even if i dont write as much.
