Well it's friday, it's that time for the first time...
A DarkBASIC Exposé for games/applications.

Link your enteries in here and have fun
I'll be back later today to show screenshots.
Just to let everyone know, I've decided to extend this to actually cover the next week. So if you want to post something up to show then the closing date will be next Friday to do so.

Reason for this is I'm going to be releasing little bits of my own title up until then (just a handful of screenshots today)
All leading upto the demo version.
This gives everyone an extra 7 days in which to faff around

lol... that'll learn ya to be so far ahead.
i was hoping to get something up by 3pm, however what i'm uploading is going to take another 3hrs atleast...
(it's 1.41pm right now)

So probably looking at more like 8-9pm that i'll actually be done with all of this cause i still need to cobble together some sorta website if only if it's to link everything up.
And as right now i'm completely making Louise the main character from the demo Story, nother 7-8hrs really is what is needed.

Just have to hope my brother doesn't distract me too much cause he's playing Pokémon Colosseum in the background. They've included a new adventure in it, in 3D looks sweet.

Tell me if Coleseum is any good, I'd love to play ruby/sapphire properly and link it up like I used to in Stadium, that'd take me back. Seen breif footgae of the adventure mode, it looks quality, I hope its not just a rubbish tagged on thing.

It looks pretty good, a tad on the low polygon side which is weird.
Story Mode is sort of like a Semi-RPG as you can battle and train up your pokémon however you can't actually travel in-between towns or capture them like you normally would.

You can simply travel to each town, talk to people and such.
Catch your pokémon using pokéballs and using something called a Snagbagger which allows you to steal other peoples pokémon that you battle in the world. Problem is you can only take ones which glow black, called 'Shadow' pokémon...
The story is actually interesting and does appear to grow as you play it, so although I feel the game was put in as a gimmic; it'll still keep you occupied for a while as it is just like the GBA game cept without the travelling in between towns.

the dude's bike looks pretty awesome though, and your actually a bad guy for once which is also cool.
i like the new battle modes as well, but that said there doesn't appear to be a 'play Saphire/Ruby on the GC' option. I think this would've been a much better addon for the game instead of story mode, replacing the GBA game with a 3D world.

However if Story mode is like the battle tournament in Stadiums' then no doubt something new will be unlocked once its complete. i'll let you know what cause my bro will probably complete it quickly (RPGs are his specialty, beat FF7 in 12hrs which just made my jaw drop cause i'm at 58hrs and i'm still not even close to done lol)

I'm uploading around 10MB for screenshots right now, and i've got a 28MB Trailer which the editing sucks on; and i think i might redo.

However my internet is playing up; the irc room members can actually vouch for this too.
my upload speed is in the region of 980b/sec (yeah byte not kbyte!!)
so by around 9 like i said i should be done hahaa

most of these screens are simply of the starting area of the demo just to show off the technology.
the are in question actually was only completed around 8hrs ago itself ... plus i'm trying to finish the new Louise so I can show off the Semi-First Person view as well as the First Person View.

For those who don't know, what I have been working on; be warned those who know only know of the full project.
Currently I'm putting together an entirely new sub-story specifically for people to download and play for free.

And these are the screenshots you will end up seeing.
There is nothing there yet, but hopefully I'll have this up in a few hours - if all goes well.

http://deliverance.puffinteractive.com

I'm trying to put together the site with all the features and crap so, please be patient. New media, movies, download & information is going to trickle onto there over the next week; basically as it is finished for showing.

(should've pushed this all back a week originally when mike suggested it)

I'm also adding in the ability to run in it on Low-End Radeons as well, as they don't support it's format;
So formats will be:
4:3, 16:9, 4:3R, 16:9R

the HDTV Resolutions will activate automatically
This said, your Radeon my not perform like a Geforce will because to keep the quality I've had to render at a higher resolution and simply shrink the camera area to the correct size.

For those outputting to TVs (which yeah this'll work very nicely on a TV hehee) the game outputs at PAL 60. Unfortunately I cannot expose DirectX in a way to allow me to alter this without making it video card dependant and i just don't have the information to achieve it.

However most Scart/RGB based TVs will support this format anyways.

I guess this would be a good place to show off some of the NEW features of the plug-in that I am working on.

The enhanced version of EZrotate is almost finished. All of the features listed in the link below are working very well. The link is "part" of a guide that I have written for using EZrotate-enhanced.
I am currently working on some demos to really show it off

http://www.ericksonline.com/EZRotate/enhanced/EZrotateGuide.htm

If anyone has ANY other feature requests that they would like to see implemented, please let me know.

Still not sure if I should show this, but just enjoy the screenshots and try not to read to much into the text. Still working out some details.

Enjoy for now!

Wow Wolf, that looks really cool. Fantastic DLL youve got going - the origin vector rotation looks interesting. So could you tell it the centre coordinates of say, a door for example, then offset it and use the new origin as a centre of rotation to make the door swing? Effectively making the object pivot form a different point?

Absolutely! The origin vector only works off of the origin of your object so you can't do it with that, but it could EASILY be done with the orbiting commands. You basicly just create your own axis, and the object will move and rotate around that axis. It can either just reposition the object OR reposition and rotate the object.

Not really. He could theoretically push it to midnight in the latest time zone. He's got a few hours left.

David-> Ya got me! I need to stop automatically clicking links, one day they'll be directed to a site we all dread

WOLF-> Looks truly fantastic. Especially the origin rotation, for being able to, say, rotate and object on its own X and Y axis with the mouse X and Y input, instead of world axis (which dosen't work at all for obvious reasons)

I'm also wondering where he's uploading to as the link he provided dosenn't *exist*-- that's different from being empty.
