We are aware of this site (and have been for some time now). They ignore any emails we send them, I don't see any easy route to having those files removed.

Perhaps we could orchestrate a mass spam of their forum

Cheers,

Rich

Well I don't think it was an English site so usually that will mean it's not an English host, which makes things a little more difficult, unfortunately.

Edit: There you go, TCA knew what language it was lol.

We don't speak Russian, which doesn't help matters as their ISP is. I am quite sure it is not just our models getting ripped off either. I do favour a more guerilla tactic now

Ok, here's the plan. Team Alpha gives suppression spamming while Team Beta and Omega flank them from the right, now, their forum isn't in English so we're going to need to call in for regular spam bombs to drill them back. Go! Go! Go!

Lmao, that'd probably work too, it's unbelievable how many sites exceed their bandwidth within minutes of being linked to by PA.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to spam away in the forums...

This message wont self-destruct, but will be viewed instead.

If anyone does know Russian, that would be handy too - unforuntately I dont...

I cannot support this in any way.

The correct thing to do is report the site to it's host and the seller to their ISP. If the host & ISP do not take correct action you contact the people that connect the HOST & ISP to the rest of the net and have them blocked. If they dont take action you get them blocked in turn, and so on.

Most ISP's and Hosts are very keen to keep their connectivity and so tend to react very firmly in cases of copyright theft.

If the official channels have been correctly observed this conversation would not be happening, besides, Russian is not that hard. We have Russian community members too who I am sure would be happy to help in resolving the dispute.

Resorting to these methods is just showing a lack of resourcefullness. We're supposed to be a creative community, not a group of net pirates.

If you really want an eye for an eye at least do it properly for christs sake.

Eye for an eye... They pirate your models right? Well pirate their web site. You could write a DNS squirrel to sniff out their domain name login and point it to TGC, or you could hack their web site and lock them out of it - pointing the DM downloads to the purchase screen.

If you really want justice a wimpy spam attack isn't going to do anything. It's not original, it's not funny, and it probably wont be effective. Odds are they'll just do it back and then it becomes a battle of hacker v's hacker... Who makes the best scripts...

The result is DBP forums will go down for some period at least.

Eye for an eye is not only far more creative, shows at least some technical ability to do, but would also be an appropriate course of action that is both justified and terminal for the opposition.

I'm sure the admin on that site know exactly how illegal uploading those models is, yet they still did it - IMO they deserve whatever they get, it's the same thing as if someone posts software serials or cracks here, it has to be dealt with in the same brutal but quick fashion.

If you want to loose these forums too then sure, go be spammers.

I dont mind, it's not as if the TGC community is that productive in terms of finished products anyway. These forums wouldn't be a big loss to the world stage.

These forums? Lol, we're not going to lose these forums. Firstly, no one's linked to this site, and secondly, even if they bothered to track it back to us, these forums aren't going to go offline from spamming. Har har.
