Well, at least we were noticed

Just think, in 50 years time :

"Great, great, great, etc etc grand-dad, what did you do on 6/10/04 ?"
"Well, son, I posted messages on a Russian web site"
"Wow! You know, I want to be just like you..."

Whoah!!! - they have instant anonymous posting!, how mad is that, a spammers dream. Not that I'm suggesting people use it to annoy them though - I doubt it'll do too much good to spam a load of skint Russians. They do not rake up money with spades over there you know, not like us high-falutin westerners.

Feel free - it will go ignored. They couldn't care less about ripping off the models, ask them - they will tell you as much.

This is very interesting...

@Robx: You do realize that you've put a link up that can be easily navigated from to the stolen models, right?

Am I reading this incorrectly, or is Rich actually suggesting that we spam the site? Or perhaps that's everyone else interpretation, and I can't help but conform...

Wasn't me TCA, I just got in from work to catch up on this one.

As for what I said, I stand by it, spamming is not the way to go about solving any dispute. Spamming is such a feeble form of attack - it takes what, 2 minutes to delete your collective entire days work?

Big deal.

Like I said earlier, if you are going to do this, do it properly. I even gave some suggestions.

I'm seriously dissapointed that people who I had previously respected in the community would even think it was a cool thing to do. It's about as likely to suceed as England winning the world football cup, and about as cunning, ingenuitive, and clever, as a sphere on a matrix demo with bugged camera movement - and as effective as a DBPro command help file.

As for you Mouse, just dont even bother ok. I'm bored s***less of your endless jibbing and pedantacism, ever since your attacks started over a year ago you are yet to even lay one good put-down on me. I could get worse insults from a labotamy patient, and more creativity from an adolescant Mayfly. Do the whole forum a favour and just stop the incessant childishness ok?

Which is the biggest tool? The computer, or the muppet who invented it?

I disagree andy, you see rich said that these guys have been asked before, and they haven't.

Quote: "We are aware of this site (and have been for some time now). They ignore any emails we send them, I don't see any easy route to having those files removed."

Then we also have the "Report to there ISP's".

One thing I have learned in the past 2 weeks, Russian ISP's don't give a damn. They are all pirates to. The webhosts are just as bad.

It is also clear that the admins of this site know english or have training in the use of "f*ck-off". Obviouslly these guys think they are doing a service by hosting these files, and not much will get them to change their minds.

Ok, I'd like to inject a bit of seriousness into this debate.

First, for those Brits who are proposing this, its arguable that deliberate malicious spamming of another forum may be a criminal offence contrary to s.3 Computer Misuse Act 1990, not to mention it may be actionable in civil law as a tort. So I strongly urge everyone not to do it. Quite apart from the legal issues, its inappropriate to descend to the same level as the people who are stealing TGC's copyrighted works.

As for the thieves in question, if TGC's complaints to the web owner have not been dealt with acceptably, I suggest that very strongly worded complaints be directed to the ISP owner itself. If that doesn't work, TGC needs to decide whether or not it is worthwhile paying to get a Russian lawyer to scare them a bit.

Hmm... I must agree with Philip, despite the fact that I find the spammed posts on that site to be quite funny... It is, to be sure, wrong, and I doubt it'll solve anything. (If it does, you spammers can have my pet ninja )

Anyways, that's why I couldn't believe my eyes when I read Rich's comments... but then again, they are stealing someone else's hard work...

No...no... spamming that forum is still wrong. Not as wrong as pirating models, but still wrong. And now that they have a link to our site, I shudder to think at what may become of this forum...
