Hehe... Social life is important, 'cos you gotta get off your butt sometime, like, otherwise you'll look like Rick Waller (fellow Brits might be the only ones who get that). No offense, Rick. "De plane"? Explain to me, please.

Peace Out all

lmao... heres a useless fact, you can fit 2 3/4 Raven's into Rick Waller (and thats AFTER he lost some weight)

So you can tell i'm some bloated nerd sitting behind my desk with nothin' better to do hehee.
you know i had that thing they called a social life, but then i gave it up with my last girl ... i swear having to meet new people all the damn time who are so full of it with false smiles. Ack - and it doesn't help matters when you break one of thier jaws and get labeled as voilent.

IMAGINE IT, ME voilent ... (^_^)
thought it has to be said it was very well asked for, i mean the guy was letching all over my girl - probably didn't help my temper that she didn't mind.

well yes :: coughs :: i think thats why i prefer no social life

lmao Daz... i know your in the UK
i'm kinda hoping you'd narrow it down to atleast a town - i mean i know the UK is small but its not like there's 3 streets. Else i'm sure rather than flaming each other me an' simple would walked down the road and beat the living daylights outta each other by now

and Hito... you know its kinda creepy, because some of those jap artists put a lil too much detail into something sometimes.

Yo, Ranen, you're talking low end stuff, Plastic Little was a POS. I'm talking about Cool Devices, Shusaku Replay, or Urotsukidoji. The stuff that warps your soul, curves your spine, and completely destoyes your mind. Yeah, chicks dig it.

Meh! ... Urotsukidoji wasn't really a mind warper, actually one of the more sensical animé

want a read head f**ker watch Evagalion (^_^)
and Perfect Blue takes a good few takes before it sinks in all of the naeunces.

Plastic Little is probably the most perfect example of Hito Hentai ... was really a poor excuse of a movie, but i still kinda thought it was cool.
I have a real different liking of manga and animé to others thou - cause alot of people like the standard things, personal i prefer stuff like 3x3 Eyes, Patlabour2, Ghost in the Shell, Vampire Hunter-D, etc...

if you don't look carefully into those you miss the entire point in them! ... i think Ghost in the Shell is one of the better ones for this and is very closely tied in what its really about just as Patlabour is.

Another is Shadow Skill series, 5movies which make a long running movie - covers Friendship, Honour, Suffering, Love and Skill
truely fantastic series (^_^)

but then you were talkin' about the hentai things so i dunno, find the lost episodes of Dragonball/Z/GT

Ghost in the Shell is great, but the 3X3 Eyes series is my favourite Anime ever. Half because of the wonderful characters in Pai and Yakumo but also because it's just funny, cute, fantastical and violent all at the same time.

Cheers,

Hey Bunni,

So that "Hey boss! De Plane! De Plane!" What was that from? I know I heard it somewhere on tv. Wasn't it from Fantasy Island (or some sitcom like that)? Anyway, I think its great to see more girls that are programmers. Power to you.

Oh yeah, Evangelion is defenatly one of my favs,I got the complete DVD box pluss the two movies. Ghost in the Shell is another classic, as is anything that's made by the great Masamune. 3x3 Eyes kicks ass, and how can Vampire Hunter D not, it's made by Amano for crying out loud. Accully hito is japanese man or human. Persomally I think the main draw of Hentai is that accully as has a plot. I'll have to look into the Shadow series. Another two animes that are worth noting, Maze, little known but really good, and the Kenshin series. Tenchi Muyo! TV rulez too, I can't wait til Tench Muyo GXP comes to the states.

Talking about anime there are 2 series you must see: Gyver and Berserk. However Beserk turns from the most wonderful series to the worst I have seen at the end with all those demons. But before that it's the best thing I have ever seen =)

bleck Guyver thats not real animé - hehee
i liked Tenchi Muyo, it so silly its cool ... however you see the heavily edit version for CN? omg lmao it was funny.
you sit there watching it with people who've never seen it before and you laugh at something because you're remembering the original in your head

should look in Martain Sucessor Nadesquo because thats another cool series - along the same lines as Tenchi for just pure silliness

you know i'm thinking of going down to Mr. Kitties before i leave - see if i can't grab AD Police & Bubblegum Crisis on DvDs wouldn't mind Battle Angel Alita either cause thats quality. Kinda which they'd stretched that movie out over 2 or 3 cause it'd of made an awesome story

benny, bunni started about Animé ... we're just extending on it - and it does help to stop ya'll seeming like desperate teens who need a lay if you know, you appear atleast to have some other interest than shamelessly saying some girl is gorgeous when you've never seen her.

i mean she could look like the back end of a dog

Well put Raven, well at least the first part. Personaly I don't internet dating, or the worse aspect, cypering (new slang for 'you know what'). American tv don't help the situation, they tell you by 1st grade you should have stedy boy/girl friend and by 3rd you should wear condoms.

Yeah I think that CN needs to grow up a little about the censorship, hell the whole country should. I got Tenchi Muyo! TV on DVD too. Something else, do you guys perfer to watch it in Japanese? I sure do, in fact I got 4 or 5 I've yet to see in English. Aside from Matt Miller and his ussal group, they all do a pretty half-ass job. After watching a Sailor Moon AMV I think they shoul've got Aqua's Lene to do Sailor Moon's vocie.

Some i watch in Jap... most i can't stand, like DBZ it might be all uncut and and everything - but really Goku with a high pitched womens voice and Vegeta sounding gay, hehee i prefer to hear a nice western "normal" voice.
too many japs either speak too high or too low, and its really weird. There was a translation done of Akira actually for the DvD Special Edition for the UK which has the original japanese, but redubbed with the english actors doing the japanese ... sounds alot better on my ears

but thats just me i guess

lol... i'm not saying the cutdown version is better, i'm saying i prefer the voices.
personally an evil voice in japanese doesn't sound even slightly evil to me - i mean they just try to make it sound deep and like someone who's like 30-40yo

in the english version they have a way of adding that lil something which makes it seems evil
its like Vegeta's voice is made to sound slightly regal rather than in the Jap he sounds gay - lol

there are uncut english translations though, because funimation did the translation for the US & Canada but the voices were revoiced for the UK & European versions (a big disput between Cartoon Network US and Cartoon Network UK is to blame ) so the revoices also came with the original art uncut

which is why right now the UK is getting the Kid Buu saga on CNX - daytime version is the cutdown, the nighttime showings are the uncut.

looks like CNX is also gonna be the first to show DragonBall GT (^_^)

I just saw "Fatal Fury - the motion picture". Nice action but the story was really shallow and some parts really could have been explored more. And the women where a little more then oversized.

Video games are heavily produced in Japan, where Anime is from (go figure). Once you become a fan of one topic you seek out simalar topics. Video games and anime are closely linked (Dot Hack comes to mind). In fact I would bet a pretty penny that a good number here also like J-Pop, comics, old roadrunner cartoons, Monty Pithon, and kung-fu movies.

i like Jap-Pop... not a big comic fan... watch Roadrunner when i'm bored... like Monty Python... and i'm not a Ju Jitsu to Kung Fu guy

(^_^) there is a big difference between the two hehee
i've always found that amusing, people think all martials arts is the same as say Karate or something, but thats saying all Spices are the same as Salt or Pepper

games that most people play and develop actually have greater western backgrounds ... like the FPS - can't really get much more of a western game than that.
RPG on the other hand is a very Eastern kinda game

and there is a large divide between the two

Well yeah, but if I was to list all the martial arts by name I'ld still be typing.

True, but I don't know anyone here who doesn't want to make a RPG or Zelda remake.

personal preferances really still ... i mean there are just as many who want to do an FPS.

i think people want to do RPGs cause they just want to make something similar to FF - thing is all the Japanese RPGs are, really are interactive stories which pan you as the central character(s) ... where as the western ones really stray and make it a more open affair with little to no storyline

one thing the japs are good at, and thats telling a bloody good story

Tsu'va Oni Ni Jyuuko Fiori Sei Tau!
